This is the worst way to handle this. If we are seriously gonna bench Scoot and not let him play through rough spots, he won’t get much burn this year and he will play scared of making mistakes.

I doubt it. They were talking earlier in the season about Chauncey not having a defined role for him yet. Just saying maybe he could be more explicit about DeAndre going to the basket, using his strength, being active, because DeAndre isn't getting it.

Chauncey can't change the dudes mindset. He would if he could. That's why I talked about wanting players that set the standard and make the most of their situation, not dudes that need everything to be perfect for them in order to produce. Because nothing will ever be perfect. This dude seems so checked out.

I don't know what's wrong with the guy. He has ability, but seems like he's coasting most of the time. The Blazers could get him more involved, but his lack of FTs says a lot about how hard he's playing.

Overall, the bench has been disappointing. Got to win those minutes w/out Luka. As good as Doncic has been, the Mavs are -2 when he's on the floor.
