Comparing the three point shooting percentage of the other players to Simons is a head scratcher to me. Those other players shoot threes when they are wide open and set, and usually (especially Thybule) from the corner. Simons is always under heavy pressure, and shoots threes almost entirely from the arc. Often those players are open because Simons is on the court. Whether or not Simons gets the assist, he opens the floor and serves as a proximate cause for improving their shot making.

uh oh... potential assists ... don't do it, it's not a real stat. Steph Curry would average 30 assists a night for his career, if the Warriors didn't mess everything up. LeBron James would average 50 points a night for his career, if he made every single "potential basket".

Go look at the stats, all the leaders in potential assists are also leaders in APG. It has its flaws, but it's a proxy for playmaking.

And for the record:

Potential assists per game:

Ant: 12
Dame: 11.5

Actual APG:

Ant: 5.8
Dame: 7.0

You don't think that if you swapped teams for Ant and Dame, and suddenly Ant is passing to Giannis, that Ant would be the one averaging 7 instead?

Milwaukee is a joke, Cronin hosed those chumps. Go Blazers!

3 straight turnovers for Blazers... ain't no thang, i think the Blazers play rope-a-dope. Portland fakes being a stinky team, then brings the pain later.

Apparently, the Wizards are good.

This wasn't the start the team needed. Laughable that they're down by 10 to a team that is 4-22.

Yeah, Portland only has 2 more wins, but jesus christ on a cracker, the Wizards shouldn't be up by 10.

Detroit has to be pissed they don't play Portland for a while.

Wizards up 10, Billups calls a timeout, he's got some good advice... quit sucking Portland !!

This is fun, i'm seeing players i've never heard of. Washington is loaded with scrubs.

Kinda hope they get housed tonight.

Wizards shooting 10-13, i didn't know they were the best team in the NBA ??

Uh oh, Kuzma is gimpy, didn't see what happened

What is with these lackadaisical starts? This starting lineup outside of Camara, seems 'too cool for school' in their approach to the start of games. Washington is crap! This is embarrasing.

Can Chauncey force our starters to sprint a mile before the game starts? Why do they always come out comatose?

Yep. I used to think that it was the previous group of players who would always play down to their opponents level, but apparently it's infiltrated the franchise as a whole and that stink doesn't go away.

Been zagging for over a decade with no results. You would think….
Maybe they're hoping the "broken clock" axiom will break in their favor.

You know it's bad when a team that is purposely tanking salivated when they looked at the schedule and saw the Blazers were next.

Ayton really has the worst hands I’ve seen since Przybilla

The offense without Ant is eye gouging bad. They have no method of getting good shots.

How is it this Wizards team isn't a playoff team? they're killin' it toni....oh right, it's who they're playing.

These Wizards are shooting the lights out.

The win against the Suns kind of reminded me of our win against the Raptors. A solid three point shooting team not making shots they usually do and us getting a win we weren't expected to get. I do think that we were making the Suns take worse shots than that Raptors game at the beginning of the season where they were just missing wide open ones... it's just we need a team to either shoot bad or really force them to in order to get any win.
