I don't think Maxey, Melton, Oubre and PatBev coming off a really close loss are the players for Scoot to get out of his foul trouble against and if The Beard is playing that compounds shit... but hey who knows maybe the elevated talent level will make Scoot rise to the occasion.

Regardless this Sixers team is going to blow our doors off but it's all about the development of these young guys. Let's hope we see some growth and new things out of some of them.

TBF, Matisse is like putting a spoiler on a 1982 Ford Taurus. A bit of a luxury off the bench player for a playoff team. Portland needs to start with 5 guys who can dribble/pass/shoot, initiate some offense and play defense. Even strictly as a defensive only player Tisse is a bit of a novelty to be used in the right scheme with the right players behind him.

PHI caught MIL on cruise control. Pretty much all of their runs came with Dame/Giannis on the bench. Tyrese Maxey hit a lot of big shots to keep the 76ers in it.

Results on the court show that this extra work is... Working.

Good for Shae. Setting that culture now is very important.

It’s funny how much Sharpe is a blank canvas personality wise. If you’re a fan who believes he is lazy and coasting off talent, it’ll look like that to you. If you think he’s an interior hoop head gym rat from Canada who just wants to win MVPs, it’ll look like that too.

From all reports it’s 100% the latter. Perception is everything.

I got to see him opening night, and he looked so much better as an overall player, nearly a year after last time I saw him in person in the Indy game.

Another thing I noticed live was Shae was much better at not ball watching. He did have one time where his man cut to the basket (but missed the reverse layup) but other than that, he looked solid on that end as well. I was plowed out of my mind, so maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I did notice his off ball defense was remarkably improved.
