Oubre Jr. "inspired" to play winning ball with the Philly franchise. -- just read an S.I. article that interviewed Kelly. He said the teams he played for (Hornets) have "no hope". Poured gas on the fire by suggesting (Charlotte) is a cruddy NBA atmosphere.

It’s funny how much Sharpe is a blank canvas personality wise. If you’re a fan who believes he is lazy and coasting off talent, it’ll look like that to you. If you think he’s an interior hoop head gym rat from Canada who just wants to win MVPs, it’ll look like that too.

From all reports it’s 100% the latter. Perception is everything.
he's too skilled for his stuff to be JUST from natural talent. he's a hard worker too. And by all accounts, he's a sponge that picks up things very quickly after being taught it.

We should all take a shot of tequila for every time the Sixers get a dunk and see who survives the night.
Just reading this post made my stomach turn a bit. I’m down with G&T’s all night, but can’t do the Tequila.

I want him to get the Kobe green light. Max volume.

Embiid is listed as questionable (rest). It's the third game of the season, and the Sixers' home opener - and he's needing to sit out for rest?! Sucks for all those fans who paid to see the supposed MVP.

he's got it already. put up 23 shots last game. next stage in offensive development has to be getting to the line more, and shooting closer to 40% from 3.

the improvement in his handle from last year is staggering. my favorite development has been his playmaking though. had some pocket passes last game that surprised me.

My takeaways after 2 games (regardless of opponent):
1) We eventually need Scoot to be an elite level PG, but right NOW, we need him to be an average PG. Hasn't happened yet.
2) Love Ayton's rebounding, but need him to become the efficient 20/10 guy ASAP, which he is very capable of.
3) One word: Defense.

i would prolly do it even without the Philly pick.

I vomited in my mouth at that. don’t want a morris twin nor grammy batum. but grant for two first rounders is the obvious part of the deal for Portland. I’ve just never liked the morris twins and that suggestion was a new one to me.

they don’t want to see him dominayton’d.

advanced offensive repertoire for a guy one year removed from HS.

I w0uld love to see him and Ayton getting involved in some two-man game. Start out at the 3-point line, 2-man game going to the hoop, get the ball to a 3-point shooter on the perimeter if the defense swarms Shae/Dominayton.
Get some chemistry between those two players. Throw lobs to each other. Pick and roll, pick and pop, do it all.

I am sure he can shoot 40% from three, I want Billups to figure out what helps his success rate to get it there.
I watched him in a pre-game last season and he was calmy draining 80% of his practice threes. They were so smooth.
Walker and Knox's 3-point shots looked so different, like there was a lid on the hoop for them.

They're expiring contracts. Would prolly both get bought out. So we get a pick and no future money for a guy we don't need and is owed 150 mil. It's a fair exchange in my mind.

yeah, that’s my thought process i was trying to lay out. but even then, the blazers paying any money to either of the morris twins still makes me vomit.

that Magic game was sloppy. I hope the Blazers look a little sharper in this game. I don't care if the ball goes in or the Blazers win. I just don't want to watch another pinball passing extravaganza. Where'd the ball go? I dunno?? ... Oh hey, a Blazer grabbed it. Shoot it !!

this should be possible around the deadline.

Only if the Clippers struggle. The Clipper fans I know think getting Harden would be insane. ( I agree) The ball movement and defense would be worse Now if either Kawai or PG has a major injury at that time then it might be possible. But they like Mann quite a bit and need minutes for him.

Blazers got this!

Very last row. Did anyone notice we have no white players this season? Has this ever happened before in our franchise history?
My wife brought that up to me when I was watching the last game. We didn’t have any caucasian players. I don’t think that’s ever happened before.

Last row is nice because you can stand up whenever you want. Usually space behind to put your stuff too.
