Given Minnesota's defensive personnel, their scheme, and the roster we put out, I think this was Simons best game of the season.
I think easily the best all-around game of his career. He did this against the #1 defense in the league. But he’s trash for not leading the team to a win.

Ant was cold early on but made assists, then he got hot and went off. Posterized Rudy.

Simons needs help. OKC on tap. I wonder if any of his high salary teammates will put on a jersey ??

Anfernee 34/5/14, his outstanding night overshadows a different topic...
Minnesota sweeps season series +95pts

Minnesota should be embarrassed

It was nice having two guards starting tonight. Banton fits in well next to Simons much like Brogdon did.
I would love to keep him next year. There are certain matchups where a 6'8" PG comes in handy.

I thought everyone who played tonight played well.

Blazers 3-7 when Simons scores 30+

Memphis won so they 'lost' ground by a game to Portland in the lottery race. Kind of made up for that comeback loss Saturday

don't really get why Ant played 43 minutes

I’m curious what the organization will do with Banton. If they plan to keep him, he could be an interesting rotational player. Just put him and Toumani in a gym all summer shooting jumpers all day long.

I'd guess he's not around simply because there are only so many roster spots;

Only if they decide to keep Brogdon. But every team needs 3 pgs and Banton at 6'8 seems like he has the potential to be a good utility player to have on your bench in case of injuries.

I hear that and if he is on the roster, that's fine with me. In my eyes, you don't worry about finding 3rd string utility players until you've got your stars, starters, and key rotation players lined up.

Reath/Rupert 8-9 3pt (88% !!)
rest of team 8-30 (26% ):

Walker: 0-3
Murray: 1-5
Banton: 1-6
Minaya: 1-3

Guys whose minutes and shots could be have been used by Monsiuer Rupert shot 3-17 on threes. 17.6 percent.

That stinks like Vieux Boulogne, certified as the world's stinkiest cheese.

Rupert was 3-3, 100%, and is shooting 50% for the season on threes. As pleasant as vanilla, the world's most pleasant smell.

can he play point forward at times? Too bad his 3 pointer is weak, if he could improve that than yeah keep him

I am liking what I'm seeing from Rupes. He has certainly improved in some aspects since SL. I like what I see from Banton as well. Different types of skills sets, but two 6'8" guys that can do some good things and with length. As people have mentioned, get Banton in the gym for 1000 3's a day....same with Camara. There are some hand placement things that with a small adjustment, I believe could help them.
