Serious? This sounds like an agenda post. He played very well tonight. Give him some credit.
Agreed.
I was very much in the trade Ant camp.
He could always score, but tonight it came more within the flow of the offense & he gave a lot of effort on D.

I want to see this play out a bit longer. Ant may actually turn into a positive player.

Way too early hot take on Murray, but he feels like Luke Jackson. He’s not especially athletic. He isn’t a deadly shooter. I think he got drafted way too high.

Blazers launched over 40 threes
in preseason,
against Utah?.
sounded like a chuckfest

I don't have time to read everything, so question about Grant. 24 points, but 2 reb and 0as.
I don't like it. Am I the only one that wants this guy gone ASAP?

Relax. Kris Murray averaged 20 ppg 8 rpg on 55% shooting for iowa last season. Be will be better than what he has shown so far

That was college. LaMichael James was amazing in college. He was out of the NFL in just a few years. College success does not guarantee anything in the NBA. Look at Adam Morrison.

And people are judging Kris over spot minutes in summer league / preseason. Jeryd Bayless was summer league MVP. Nic Batum sucked. IIRC it was Wes' injury that gave Batum playing time and he capitalized. Let's wait until we see Kris play extended minutes before we count him out.

I thought this would be a slaughter but Blazers fought their way back. Chucked too many quick threes final minutes.

Our guy Wesley Matthews started 48 regular season games, and all 10 playoff games for Utah as a 23 yr old undrafted rookie.

Take note that he wasn't named starter after 1 good pre-season game, which is entirely my point.

Hard to tell with Luke. He was athletic before his injuries. The guy completely tore his hamstring off the bone. But yeah he probably got drafted too high.

Yeah, as I noted in the Camara thread, he was a guy I was really intrigued by for our second round pick heading into the draft. I really liked his well-rounded athleticism and seemingly mature game from the little I saw. Of course, at the draft, I was also quite pleased with the Rupert selection, and I be lying if I thought that Camara would look this solid this early.

On Murray, and it's easy to say now, I wonder if he should have ever been considered an NBA ready type of prospect. I think people assume NBA readiness due to his age, but this is a guy who didn't really figure out the his fit in college until the third or fourth year. I wouldn't be shocked if 1) Murray does become a solid NBA rotation piece; and 2) if it doesn't happen until like his 3rd year in the league. Of course, the NBA moves so quickly that it may not wait that long for him.

So what? We're talking about getting lesser Blazer brothers aren't we?

don’t care one way or the other, and I liked RoLo, but your Robin Lopez comment was in response to CC saying we shouldn’t DRAFT brothers, so I was just clarifying we didn’t draft Lopez.

The post you responded to: “Blazers need to set a rule never to draft the brother of someone already in the league... especially if that brother is good.”

Edit: And further, those two entered the league at the same time.
