Does Poto play like Offensive Guard in the NFL?

I’m just saying there was no actual broadcast of those games….so no stream to steal. Just a big screen show that doesn’t leave the building….. can’t figure out how they do it. HA!
Why no broadcast? Is it laziness or incompetence or both? So fucking annoying.

Blazers were the first team to do Close Circuit feeds back in the 80s…… First to offer pay-per-view back in the 80s…… first to air ALL 82 games….. first with what we call “robo cams” manned cameras above the rims……first with a “slash” camera angle tucked over in the corners……first with “hot head” cameras mounted under the bigscreen.
I’m biased, but I’ll give them a little bit of leeway. Archaic might not be the term I would use when it comes to bringing the game to the fans. People should really do some research into the history of broadcast to be honest.

Oh but that’s right, Blazers Broadcasting fucking sucks.

I think only a handful of teams broadcast all their preseason games. Pretty standard to be honest. Been like that for years. As far as why WE don’t, above my pay grade. And as @SlyPokerDog shared with you all this past fall, there was a big reset with Blazers Broadcasting this offseason. Biggest turnover in their 50 year history. So, covering a game against a YMCA team Tanzania might not have been up on their list of top priorities.

But like I said, that’s above me.

So sounds like the answer is "both", got it.

PLEASE TELL HIM HE IS CORRECT AND IT”S ON TV!

Well at least give me the damn option to buy it.
oh, let me be clear. I don't think it's the fan's job to care about the team's broadcast strategy, budgeting, or approach to preseason games.

fan excited about players!
fan excited about game!
fan want see game!
fan disappointed game not broadcast!
fan sad/upset.

(it's fair)

I dont think anyone is saying blazers broadcasting sucks. I think folks would be happy with the minimalist spurs streaming approach to their intra-squad scrimmage. it meant tons of folks around the world got to see more wemby and buy merch at the nba team store.

more dollars for team. win win.

I don't get Root TV so I'm wondering if NBA league pass is worth the $100 for the season? How many Trailblazer games are broadcast on league pass ( New Zealand Breakers not withstanding).

If you’re in Portland, probably none of them. You’d have to go the route of a VPN.

Yes, it's worth it if you use a VPN (if you're in the Trail Blazers zone, not necessary if you're outside that zone).
Using a VPN is best and easiest using a laptop or computer. Which you can hook to a TV.
League Pass lets you watch all the games.
Not all the games are live though. Games on ESPN, TNT, NBA TV aren't LIVE on LeaguePass.
("Yes, NBA League Pass Premium includes NBA TV.") League pass premium also allows for 2 streams.
Those games not shown live on League Pass will be available on League Pass 3 hours after the game ends.
Access to past games is great using the calendar.

Currently on the ESPN Blazer schedule, I see 1 TNT game, 1 ESPN game, and 5 games on NBA TV.

At least one pirate stream site has it listed for tomorrow. I guess I would trust HCP over their tentative scheduling. BTW right now a couple of the main pirate steam sites seem to be under attack, most likely by the major broadcasters.

This.

NBA League pass covers both audio and video. League Pass will cover the audio stream of the game.

On a side note I don’t know that I’ve been more interested in purchasing league pass (I have before). It’s extremely convenient for watching any team other than the Blazers. Can watch all the Bucks games on mobile.

Wenbenyama pass

I think I’ll probably buy it this year

Curious, you gonna believe some random app thrown together by some kid in NJ or @THE HCP ?

Our crew won’t be there and neither will anybody else…..
I believe it's on Radio only as I posted earlier. Just showing what some other people might be seeing.

NBL has already been underway. The Breakers have played two league matches in the last ten days. A win over Cairns and a loss to Brisbane.

I like preseason matches versus international competition. We should win this game. Yes it is preseason and yes this team is very new and young. We should still win this game. These are the games you want to see this kind of team win. Rupert is literally coming from this team to the Blazers as a rookie. Gotta prove that it’s an upgrade in competitive level. It’s like Champions or Europa league for soccer.

The national broadcasts are live if your VPN is set to route through Mexico, Spain, India, or any other foreign country.

I am going to trust HCP also. he has always been there for me......Every Wednesday rain or shine he is there to maintain my lawn.

How desperate am I for hoops at this point? Do I attend or wait till Thursday?

I love how they're creating promo for a game that is unseeable if you don't live in Portland.

Imagine being an excitable Breakers fan and being told to 'follow along on twitter!'

(again, this is no shot at the people who broadcast the game. that is =/= the folks who make the strategic decisions on this stuff.
