This is the same leadership that thought having broadcasters not travel with the team and doing commentary remotely for road games was a good idea.
conceivably, the nba fo would also potentially weigh in on such matters if there were international teams involved.

I’m just saying there was no actual broadcast of those games….so no stream to steal. Just a big screen show that doesn’t leave the building….. can’t figure out how they do it. HA!
the NBA said they would be cracking down on pirated streams !! Strong words from a company that pulled all the strings to allow Oklahoma City to steal Seattle's basketball team. Takes a robber to know a robber.

They will have a difficult time doing that. Many are supported by the gambling companies that the pro leagues now partner with.

I bought league pass and just watched Wemby v Chet for the past two hours. Left me super hyped to watch our boy Scoot tomorrow. There better be some sort of stream tomorrow, that's all i'm saying. Don't give one damn whether there are commentators or replays, or whatever else. Just need to see my team on the floor.

After the shitshow that was this clandestine training camp with delayed interviews and hardly any content, followed by a fan fest that they didn't post video of, this media team that is currently in charge is on thin ice with me.

For the first time in years, these idiots have a product that the fanbase is desperate to watch and support, and they're shooting themselves in the foot.

that trail episode is going to hit so good at the tribeca film festival tho

I don't get Root TV so I'm wondering if NBA league pass is worth the $100 for the season? How many Trailblazer games are broadcast on league pass ( New Zealand Breakers not withstanding).
If you only watch Blazer games it isn't worth it....if you watch the league as a whole, it pays for itself in the first week.

I believe it's on Radio only as I posted earlier. Just showing what some other people might be seeing.
Hey we mentioned above....the big screen show has some how got leaked in the past....who knows how, but it has. Maybe everybody will get lucky and that happens again.

I will try to broadcast it on YouTube if anyone is still interested at that point.

It's fun to be able to watch close finishes almost every night. Just check the scores and tune in.

But if you’re outside Oregon like me (Massachusetts), it’s awesome because you get all the games (except our what, one? game on national tv). And if you just follow one team, it’s only $90 this year.
I live outside of Oregon and think NBALP is a great deal to see not just my Blazers, but interesting/exciting matches around the League.

I don't know if I will have the heart to watch the Bucks this season, however

I disagree. $100 to watch even 82 Blazer games is a bargain. I watch at least three times that (partial games)

“Our role on the business side really is getting fans to fall in love with these new players,” said Trail Blazers President Dewayne Hankins at Media Day on Oct. 2.

Empty words.
How about let your customers buy your product?

Never understood how a business can choose to NOT sell something that has high demand.

As annoyed as I am to not watch the Blazers at least there will be a game to watch on Thursday.

I can't imagine what a Breakers fan is thinking - their team gets to play an actual NBA team for what maybe the only time in 5-10+ years and they can't watch it? This could literally be a crowning achievement on many of those players resume. What about friends and family of the Breakers team?

An 8 year old can stream themselves playing a game live in their parents basement, but an NBA team during a league promoted international cross country exhibition can't figure out how to steam an NBA game listed on the official team's schedule?

Just an inexcusable move by the NBA as well as the Blazers in 2023.

Assume his comment was for people that live in Portland and have Blazer games blacked out on league pass.

Hey we mentioned above....the big screen show has some how got leaked in the past....who knows how, but it has. Maybe everybody will get lucky and that happens again.

When I purchased premium NBA league pass or whatever it is called during timeouts or commercials it shows the in arena feed for all regular season games. So the NBA/Blazers 100% have the tech to implement that immediately.

It is odd how the schedule lists NBA league pass as an option. I'm hoping there is some sort of miscommunication with the inquiry you made - and we do get a legit feed of the game available on league pass.

Blazers were the first team to do Close Circuit feeds back in the 80s…… First to offer pay-per-view back in the 80s…… first to air ALL 82 games….. first with what we call “robo cams” manned cameras above the rims……first with a “slash” camera angle tucked over in the corners……first with “hot head” cameras mounted under the bigscreen.
I’m biased, but I’ll give them a little bit of leeway. Archaic might not be the term I would use when it comes to bringing the game to the fans. People should really do some research into the history of broadcast to be honest.

Oh but that’s right, Blazers Broadcasting fucking sucks.

This actually makes it worse because now all the sudden they’re so backwards when they were ahead of their time at one point

Like ~$1.25 per game

$100 doesn’t even cover a decent grocery shopping trip anymore.

Worth it even if you only watch 50 games IMO. $2 per game is like what it costs to rent a movie out of red box.

$100 is less than 10 months of Netflix.

Seems like it was someone else though that came up with the "Refs Butt" cam in the bubble. That was a real crowd pleaser.

2023 and employees of the team don't even know if the game will be broadcast on TV.

Backward ass franchise. Emblematic of how this team operates.

Don’t blame Casey for not knowing. Blame him for not caring either way.

I didn't blame Casey at all. It's clearly a decision from Hankins and ownership
I've already read four team employees act puzzled about it—not including the one who posts here. They may not be key decisionmakers, but they're part of a fairly small organization. Just saying.
