One thing to look for with Scoot is growth between games, or even during games. He struggled a bit, but still was able to adapt and adjust. Should be fun to watch him progress throughout the year.

Not sure how good he'll end the year, but it's promising.

Maybe we should play Williams at PF after all because Moses is looking decent at the backup center.
Overall I saw glimpses of positive play by a lot of players....but they had some bad lapses. The last 3 minutes of the
2nd quarter was hard to watch. They will look better IMO in a couple of months once they settle on a rotation and
get comfortable with one another. A lot of unforced errors.

I still see the same glimpses of Shaedon's greatness as I saw last year at this time unfortunately they're still as far and few between as they were then... at least for now. Scoot is going to have to really work on getting his passing accuracy in sync with his incredible court vision. I want to see Kris get more aggressive offensively. I want to see Ayton fed in the middle and making dunks/layups or turnaround jumpers along with his rim protection and rebounding.

Malcolm Brogdon is currently the best player on this team and I'd like to see that cashed in as soon as possible. Can't wait for January 14th when surely some team will pounce on the opportunity to have Jerami. Thybulle is another very efficient player that I'd love to see on another team.

I saw some on here criticizing Chauncey's lack of coaching in a preseason game on a team expected to not be terribly competitive. Maybe the dude is just watching during the game and knows he has plenty of time to coach when the clock isn't running.

In-game coaching is always a criticism you'll hear from people on message boards watching the game. I woudn't give it too much weight.

I just watched the highlights.
I might have Azubuike nightmares.

one thing that really stood out to me is how little we got ayton involved after the first. if we want him to just do the dirty work and set picks, we got the wrong guy.
Part of it is Ayton - He does a really bad job sealing guys off when trying to post up. Makes it hard for guys to enter the ball into him.

the Bosnian beast made things difficult for Ayton. Phoenix was playing physical with DA. I saw some complaining to the refs. Didn't like getting shoved around.

-We played a team that might win the west
-We are supposed to suck
-We got beat by the team that might win the west
-We sucked

Once again this place cracks me up……every season.

try reasoning with fans that think Shaedon Sharpe is a Forward because Billups started him at Forward.
Blazers aren't using 3 guards anymore. No way. Nope

All these guys are playing with guys they’ve played with before. The probably don’t even know each others tendencies yet. No continuity. It shows
Yup. It won't be pretty for a while. Gotta make more of an effort to move and play off each other though, especially in preseason when it's the perfect time to work on this.

literally maybe 5 people on the team who were on the team last year even fewer if you go beyond that. These dudes are still learning the team, the sets and damn near everything else. If people thought we were going to win more than 40, they need a reality check. Still lots of growing pains to be had. Learned a long time ago to set no expectations with this team. It’s more fun to be surprised than it is to be disappointed.

You gotta give most some credit. This was one of the most realistic game threads I have ever read. There is probably 10-15 posts saying this team is young and will not win many games.
Seems like the expectations have been much more realistic this year.

Did anyone else see the clip of Nurk being greeted by Joe Cronin? Not much bad blood there.

Nurk did great. Happy for him. Booger is the best shooter in the league, imho (notice all the 3's he took, maybe expanding his repertoire?). Durant is the best offensive player on earth.
That is a championship caliber team against a brand new roster. I will say Grant's performance was disappointing. He is allergic to rebounding.
