I’m not convinced that he’s going to be a superstar or even an all star, but he needs more than six shots and I have concerns that he’s going to get frustrated watching the ISO crew Jack up contested shots.

Yeah, we need more movement and more work at the basket with more inclusion of Ayton in the offense. More dammit!

I thought we were supposed to see less jacking up threes with this roster and more attacking the paint. More!

Didn't enjoy watching Simons Iso up top and the opponent defense just being allowed to camp around.

Didn't enjoy Sharpe missing so many 3-pointers. Did enjoy his highlight-reel worthy finishes. I want him to force Chauncey to move Ant to the bench, and not because Ant is sucking

I only saw the highlights, but Sharpe finishing in traffic through contact is a great thing for him. Get the handle on top of that - and he is Brandon Roy reincarnate.
I wish. He got a lot improving to do. B-Roy was bad-ass early in his career. Yes he was much older when he entered the league. But Shae has aesthetically pleasing fluidity in the way he moves and the hang time is just so graceful. Shae needs to improve his shooting which will come with more reps, but it's his dribbling, if be tigheten his handles, he deadly

i felt so bad for her. She was the only one who could see the e words and were probably wondering why the crowd was getting chuckly.
Man was that not the funniest thing though?

I busyed out laughing at mentally screaming and felt bad laughing but just couldn't stop.

but yes. Wth are the Blazers thinking? Like the words are predetermined and they cant just show the words regardless?

They should be embarrassed.

Roy had great handles when he entered the league. Obviously he developed those handles over his 4 years in college. Sharpe doesn't have that path available, and with Scoot, Ant, and Brogdon ahead of him in the rotation, and the ball-handling hierarchy, he's not going to have much opportunity to develop his handles during games

Sharpe was doing that (finishing in traffic) last season.

He took Gobert to the rack and scored (probably got fouled too) and sealed the victory in Minnesota. I would not have expected Dame to be able to do that.

Brandon Roy is a great comparison for Blazer fans.

and Roy was 22 years old when he started his NBA career.

that's why Billups has to play Sharpe big minutes until he gets to Roy NBA level. It'll be worth the wait and any losing.

Jody's Paul Allen AI still has a few bugs.

I just done watching the game I seen a lot good things last night against a team that will be in top half of the west. I there were more ball movement that I seen for awhile on this team. Even Simon was a willing passer and actually seen him play some decent D and look like he got stronger. I was impressed how far brown came as a player in this league it's give us 3 legit centers on this team. Walker also impressed me on the defense side of ball he moves his feet pretty good for a big guy and actually not bad rebounder too. I also like the pace they play that was nice to see. They had two stints in the game they kind let the game get out of control but you will see that with a young team and players not playing with each other. I watched the spurs play all year and they kind of remind me of that team. A team that's plays hard and completes but have parts of game that they fall apart and the outcome was on the losing side. The Achilles heel for this team this year will be rebounding yes Ayton might give 10 boards but it won't look like he dominated the boards. If you play small and it's looks like they are it will have to be team effort on board because you can't push the ball without being a good rebound team. But overall I like what I seen but the question will how fast can they put together.

I agree. I saw some encouraging signs. They just looked like they had barely played together. Some payers (usually vets) gel quickly. I think this group will take much longer.

He did, but this game the degree of difficulty finishing in contact seemed to be a big higher, so I am excited about it.

was that dillwad J-Quick being antagonist ?? I'm glad Ayton stood his ground. Especially before the season starts. Don't poke the bear, just let him play ball.
I was told it was Quick and it sounds like him.

Jezus. Can we please at least wait until the season starts and not freak out over preseason scrimmages? And then not freak out until at least 10 games in? If it's not too much to ask?

Random thoughts through 1 and a half games...only have watched 1st half plus a little vs PHX

Need more Shae pindown's out of the right corner. He's so much more explosive and comfortable finishing off R-L footwork vs L-R.

Scoot is going to very good, very soon.

Ant played a very mature floor game to start in this one.

Reath over Moses for 3rd string center. Moses can finish and rebound (sort of) but he's been painful to watch defensively. Reath looked pretty comfortable playing up to the screen in pnr D and had a lot of smart help rotations in the first game.

Ayton really hates setting screens.

Excited for Rob Will. Scoot-Shae-Murray-Camara-Rob Will is a lineup we will see this year and I can't wait. Don't even need to see it to know that it will make beautiful basketball music.

I'm higher on what I've seen from Kris. He looks very good defensively. He's going to thrive in his minutes with Scoot. Hope the he gets paired with him for bulk of his minutes.

Rupert skeptic here, but he's looked better than expected.
