Ish is damn near a clone of Tisse as far as strengths and attributes. I look at him as a little bit Tisse and a little bit Josh Hart. One thing this team has needed for a long time is defense and toughness, supposedly his strengths. If he can continue to improve his 3pt shooting, he is a perfect 3 & D wing on a super cheap contract.
Plus, if he was able to earn a contract last year with Phoenix, in the early stage of his career (remember that he played football at Baylor and then some professionally somewhere), I think he at least would be able to make the roster here. Knox has had plenty of opportunities and hasn't really made much of a mark in his career.

So is our roster finalized officially? I have yet to see it announced or any article write up. Today is deadline

And I thought the Blazers roster was finalized for opening night. Big move -

The Blazers had to waive Ibou Badji to make room.

Good move - Badji was a complete waste of space. Reath is better able to fill in if we need a couple minutes now or provide leadership as a 27 year old veteran.

We are doing a better job of filling out this roster with vets than initially projected. 29 year old Wainwright is our second oldest player.

Simons is in his 6th year. Ayton, Thybulle, Brogdon, Grant, Reath, Wainright, Moses Brown is in his 5th season.

Super glad to have all these vets. We can run with experienced lineups so only Scoot and Sharpe are out there learning.

There will eventually be plenty of times to play Camara and other youth throughout a long season. It's nice we arent forced to do it every night or to start the year.

And we're only 8 games into the season -

I'm curious what Billups will do with Sharpe when Scoot and Simons are healthy.

Here's a look at the current roster -

I'm guessing Mays and Ish were cut for cost savings purposes (contracts become guaranteed Jan 10), and to open up some roster spots to make room for any lopsided trades.

Are more young assets coming Portland's way?

Non-guaranteed contracts become fully guaranteed for the rest of the season Jan 10, but they need to be waived by Jan 7 to get cleared by that date.

If Charlotte offered this Id probably do it.

Mark Williams, Gordon Hayward & future 2nd
For: DominAyton

We could dump Haywards huge salary after this year and get a 22 year old 5, that defends and bangs.

Why in the blue hell would they do that?

To acquire a more seasoned 5 thats and utillize an asset they need to move or lose. They may rather use that huge salary on another young player that would be a tradable asset later.
