Ridiculous that teams only have 2 days to review this before deciding how to begin negotiations with players.

I'm not sure if theres any final changes from the rumored bullet points, I don't believe teams knew exactly how 2nd round pick salaries work and some other details that were just finalized.

It's been reported that many front offices have been upset its not finalized and they are first getting all the final details just days before free agency.

Probably wouldn't matter if its 60 pages, or 600, or 6,000 in congress. None of the elected officials read them anyways.

Nate Jones just brought up a good point. trams can now use their exceptions via trade. So you can now trade for a player using your MLE or BAE

Such as, every "exception" becomes a trade exception. You can use the mid-level exception in a trade. Not just for free agents.

i am really torn about handing grant a 5yr, 150 mil deal. no one is going to give him that on the open market.

I don't believe that starts this season, I think that flexibility begins next summer in 2024.

I don't know I agree with this, I mean maybe supermax players have a bit less value, but Dame wasn't overpaid last year.

Some might argue Dame has more value immediately as teams may want to get their stars on the roster before the new rules start kicking in.

There's probably pros and cons to Dame trade value.
