and he was injured in a game that didn't matter a damn bit. There's a lot of anger, apparently, in the Charger organization about that. Staley is on the hot seat, and he should be. Personally I think he should be fired, but the Chargers suffered so many injuries this season, it's hard to say what would have happened if they'd just have had average health

I'm a Niners fan so there's some context for this statement. I think both the fact that the Niners have a historically great defense coupled with the whole quarterback situation and how it played out, make all of the talk by the national media understandable. That's not too mention the ridiculous amount of offensive weapons on that roster.
