There is about 4 to 6 teams most seasons, this just makes sure those teams get a chance.

Wonder if the home field really helps a lot.... Bowl games are neutral field so even when inferior school made it they had a real chance.

I disagree. Now those teams can't complain saying they should have gotten a shot.

I don't think either of the winners are upset that they had the opportunity to play another home game.
