Maybe that should've be a poll and a new thread (because we all love new threads).

Which is more short-sighted: bringing in Jrue to start, or moving on from Scoot if he isn't ready to be the full-time starter?

Iron sharpens iron. Scoot goes up against Jrue everyday now. Perfect development opportunity imo.

This is the lineup I think gives the Blazers the best chance to win -

If Scoot outplays Holiday for the starting spot, that's great. But in my opinion, the starting spot needs to be earned. No one should be given a starting spot because of their draft position or their salary. Development should not come at the sacrifice of wins this season. This is the season the Blazers start to build a winning culture.
Always like your rotation pictures.

Would be interesting to see the expected opening night rotation.
-Scoot and RW down with Dame on third string for injuries.
-Blake as backup PG?
-Grant in the starting lineup over Sharpe
-Camara sliding to starting SG with Grant starting.
-Who gets opening night backup F spot between Rupert/Murray. I'm hoping Rupert gets that. Might not matter much anyways as we could have a 9 man rotation.

Not saying that is my preferred starting rotation but I'll be shocked if we get anything different

Deni, Tou, Jerami........one of those IMO should not start. And I am ok with whoever CB thinks should come off the bench. All three will play 30+ minutes regardless.

Personally, I would start Deni and narrow the other forward position down between Grant and Tou. I would take Jrue out first and slide Deni to PG while bringing in 1 of the other 2 forwards.

Then I would give Wesley a few minutes to start the 2nd quarter before bringing Jrue back. But that is just one of many scenarios that I think could work.

Bottom line, I would start Shae

Just for fun, here's a list of the players' VORP (Value-Over-Replacement-Player) last season:
3.2 - D Lillard
2.2 - D Advija (F)
1.3 - J Holiday (G)
1.2 - T Camara (F)
0.6 - D Clingan (C)
0.6 - M Thybulle
0.4 - S Sharpe (G)
0.4 - R Williams
0.2 - D Reath
0.1 - J Grant
-0.1 - S Henderson
-0.3 - R Rupert
-0.3 - K Murray
-0.4 - B Westley

Of course stats don't tell the full story. But in this case, since it closely fits my narrative, I'm only looking at these stats to justify my opinion.

Been hearing great things about Shae this training camp. Im really hoping/believing he is going to come out and blow us all away with all star numbers.
Id be happy to see it.

Might be hard for him to do that as a backup behind Jerami Grant.

On the bright side - we only need to wait until 2029 for that spot to open.
