Demi is a phenomenal role player playing best player on our team. It would be like putting Stephen Tobolowski, who makes everything he’s in great, as a romantic lead next to Meryl Streep

Again I say, Grant should be viewed/treated like a 2--that basically matches his game. If we're going to start Simons and Grant, they should be the backcourt. I'd rather he be an oversized guard than an undersized forward. Defensively, keep him out on the perimeter, use his height/length to bother opposing guards. I believe that he's quick enough to do so.

When we're starting Grant, Deni and Toumani, Grant is effectively our 2 guard.

Grant and Simons, while not bad players or bad people, just seem to be role players thrusted into bigger roles than they are capable of.

Grant at least appeared aggressive last night. Simons was just there.

In fairness to Anfernee, (a) he hardly played at all in preseason, and (b) we were looking pretty good for the beginning stretch with him. We really dropped off a cliff when they subbed in Scoot.

I had checked the Timbers score and it was 0-0 20 minutes in as the Blazers started the second quarter. As the Warriors took over I thought to myself 'should've gone to the Timbers game' and then checked the score again and they were down 3-0. What a brutal night.

I would've said that earlier but watching the Blazers after he went out last night made me re-think. I mean, it's not like we're going to win if he stays, but we're slightly less likely to get blown out by 60 multiple times.

I don't know if anyone saw what Bill Belichek said about the now Patriots coach publicly criticizing the players. He said it's a better look if the coach takes responsibility. I think for the first time I am really ready to see Billups gone. Maybe give him five games to see more consistent effort on defense and some form of successful offense. But really that should have taken shape already after 3 years. Cronin needs to show some courage here.

Scoot's +/- of negative 30 stands out from the crowd, and matches the eye test. .

Scoot had lots of issues last night, but I wish people would stop using +/- as a gauge for a single game. It's a useless stat until about half a season is the sample size.

Did anyone keep track of what streak of made 3s GS put together through the middle of the game? It had to of been well over 60%, with a cold start and lukewarm finish putting them at 40%. That sort of shooting pretty much always results in a blowout, regardless of what else is going on.

The outcome of the game was depressing, no doubt, but I'm not really in agreement with most of the takes that the defense was lazy. Our guys were hustling from the get go, but once GS hit warp speed with their ball movement and player movement (Snapper has to be smiling down), we were in chase mode and constantly out of position. That's lack of experience, not effort.

A consolidation trade or three definitely needs to be made once a direction is figured out for the team. It's a roster full of 3rd and 4th options. As currently constructed, they need to win with defense. Deni is perhaps the only one who looks like a solid 2nd option, but I'm not thrilled with how careless he sometimes gets when pushing the pace, and how unreliable his shot mechanics appear. I've got to think last year's big jump in shooting percentages was an aberration, not the new trend.

You finally see the light! One more convert to the anti-Billups train. He is 80% of the reason why 90% of the players play at half-potential. Cronin's bad trades are 20%, but Cronin is better than Olshey, so I tolerate Cronin.

Standing for the team's introductions some lasy asked us to sit down. I turned around and said I'm sorry but I'm going to stand and cheer on the players as they are announced. Its energy…support.

Then she says (while sitting and most everyone else is standing) “I can't see Draymond Green.”

Mind you they are three rows up, not directly behind us. I then turned and said no. You can stand if you like but we are not sitting so you can sit and watch Draymond green. Smiled at her and said nope.

She flipped us off in front of some little kids.

I was about to go off on her but looked at one little kid and said “Lady, this is a family atmosphere, you should have more respect for kids” and pointed at the little boy in front of her. She smirked and flipped me off again.

This story is so disgusting and Californian, that those of you with Twitter accounts should publish it for the millions to enjoy.

Scoot was scratching his head at the free throw line while the guy he's guarding was 12 ft away shooting uncontested threes...he made Ant look like a good defender. He loses his man on defense way too much. Scoot seems disengaged if he's not doing layup drills. I realize he's not NBA ready yet, but the hype isn't helping his cause

First of all, if you start your sentence with "as HCP pointed out" you should quickly end your sentence and delete it.
Second, anyone who watched the game would know that Podziemski played much better than Scoot and as the +/- reflects that better than the points scored, then score one for +/- over traditional boxscore stats. Yes, as everyone never tires of pointing out, +/- is a "noisy" stat. But so is EVERY fucking stat. You can get 10 rebounds one game because they bounce your way or because somebody else is doing all the boxing out and you're not doing anything but standing around. Have we learned nothing from Shane Battier?
