I was looking at the first 25 games:
other than the home game against Atlanta, is tonight's game against the Warriors the 2nd most winnable game of the first 25? Maybe one (or both?) home games against the Pelicans because of their C situation. Blazers will be favorites (I'm assuming) in that home game against Utah (Dec. 6)
but that is a really difficult opening schedule for a team coming off a 21 win season. I can see Portland being 6-19 or 5-20 at the 26 game mark. Maybe I'm way under-estimating them
Alternately, one might say 5 or fewer wins would be a victory for this team's future.Yeah, it will be a rough start. 10-11 wins in that stretch would be a victory for this team.

You know after decades of being a sports fan, I have percolated my thoughts down into one single observation.Yeah, if they haven't been a fan since the "glory days" of the Oden draft.
In my best Paul Simon voice, "Still jaded, after all these years."
We’ll be lucky to get 5 wins. For the tankers out there that should be a good start though!I was looking at the first 25 games:
Golden State Warriors
New Orleans Pelicans

I would say those stats make him among the NBA's most disruptive defenders, but not necessarily one of the best.

But we're still starting an undersized SG, and a PF who plays like a SG. The Blazers certainly have the pieces to put a very long lineup on the court, but will they.
So bummed no Shaedon. Any mentions of his ETA??
And now he triples down on it!Simon’s getting the starting pg spot over Henderson. Hell yea. I can’t stand scoot and don’t see the “generational” point guard bullshit he was hyped up to be. I hope Ant is the clear future point guard for the blazers and we find a decent deal with scoot
It'll be hard to stomach if both Scoot and Simons start, with either Avdija or Camara on the bench. But we're still starting an undersized SG, and a PF who plays like a SG. The Blazers certainly have the pieces to put a very long lineup on the court, but will they.

Makes more sense to call Grant the SG. As has been mentioned, he already plays like one. It’s been announced already Simon’s is the starting pg next to Toumani at sg.. scoot got demoted as he should!
Wow! I'm glad Chauncy did this, and didn't give into the hypothetical pressure to start Scoot. It’s been announced already Simon’s is the starting pg next to Toumani at sg.. scoot got demoted as he should!
Scoot and Sharpe coming off the bench could be fun.
Deni should start. It'll be hard to stomach if both Scoot and Simons start, with either Avdija or Camara on the bench.
