Game Thread 2024-25 GAME #1 - BLAZERS VS WARRIORS - 10/23/24 - WEDNESDAY - 7:00 PM - KATU 2.2 - BLAZERVISION

Warriors and Blazers are both starting 3 players who are primarily thought of as forwards. I sort of expected Kerr to start his tinkering with Wiggins as his SG as they need whoever is starting there to be the primary ball stopper & Wiggins is good at that. He's also trying to wedge Kuminga into the starting lineup & it's either at SF or moving Green to the 5 and wearing him down over time. The question for this mix is whether it provides enough perimeter shooting. Portland going with the 3 forwards provides some interesting switch-ability on D. I can't wait to see Deni's debut

In plain english: we're trying to win.
of course they are, coaches & especially players always give their best at the start of the season. If results go sideways, over time management may direct it's coaches to reel things back for a tank... but for now it's time to see if they can rack up some Wins

anyone else getting a broadcast restriction notice for this game on Blazervision? I am

Wow! I'm glad Chauncy did this, and didn't give into the hypothetical pressure to start Scoot.

I think it's better for Scoot that he not have the pressure of playing big minutes.

Oh, have the starters been decided?

Simmons shouldn’t be our pg of the long haul. But he’s the best we have at the moment. I don’t think Scoot good enough to be a starter point guard in the nba.

Scoot has to earn it, he'll get plenty of minutes to improve, lets hope he does

I will like to see how Scoot has improved his Assist / Turnover ratio . In the last 2 preseason games I think he had 13 assists to 1 turnover or something like that.

This is not the same Golden State team of old.

The starting lineup is pretty pathetic compared to teams of the past.

Excited to see our young guys

Here’s to a season of player development

Any rule changes this year we haven't discussed? What's with the foul count?

I just saw Jerami Grant get a rebound! It bounced first right by his feet but nonetheless a rebound!

Ayton looks like he's worked on his ball handling. I saw that in Pre-season too.
