• The last time the Blazers had a winning season vs the Pelicans, Terry Stotts was coaching his last year. The Blazers went 3-0 against the Pelicans that season
• CJ McCollum was drafted by the Blazers with the 10th pick in 2013. He was traded to the Pelicans in 2022 in a deal in which none of the other players involved remain on Portland's roster. The Blazers did net a late 1st, which they traded to Detroit for Jerami Grant.

I was dumb enough to think the Blazers might start the season 2-1 at home. I wasn't giving them a good chance at that, but a small chance. After last night, 0-3 looks likely. But it is hard to beat a team twice in 3 nights on the road. And the Pels lost Murray with a broken last night; and Trey Murphy is injured too

If we lose a lot of these early games quickly and by more blowouts is there a higher chance we'll trade away some of our vets ASAP?

I don't mind the losses but I can't stand having both such a shitty team and with all 5 vets on the roster in some major roles (Grant, Ayton, Simons, Thybulle, Timelord)

But also I don't see how these blowouts help anyone trade value. Blazers should have traded these vets away when they traded Dame. Instead every month they lose value and we get stuck with them standing in the way of opportunities for our youth.

Great scorer who didn’t pair up well with Dame. I appreciated him and the way he carried himself. Like what I’ve been thinking for a long time, these microwave tweener guards would be awesome coming off the bench to carry the offense.

Cj's game 7 of the WC semifinals in Denver was magical. He was the best on the court that night.

Honestly, if we could have found a taller guard to start beside Dame and if CJ had been willing, our three guard lineup would have been filthy. Always liked CJ, and wish him the best in all his endeavors.
