And zion was to be generation player…

75 first half points. Wow

Sharpe with 21 points shooting 8/10.

Camara with the full stat line
7/4/3/2/1

Deni doing it all.
15/5/2/1/1

These guys give me hope for the future. Oh, and they’re fun to watch right now.

Absolutely.

He is. He’s just had too many injuries. If he gets healthy, he’s a top 10 player in the league, maybe top 5.
Yeah he’s tough down low but his defense isnt all that great.

Would have liked to see Zion out there but I get it. His post game interview last night was pretty good. Super confident and says he feels great. But it’s the second night of a btb…

I think a top 3 pick is a pipe dream at this point.

Does it just feel like Scoot is not paying attention when he doesn’t have the ball?

Ayton needed those extra boards to get the double double.

New Orleans is 2nd-worst in leaguewide standings. We should be ashamed of beating such a draft-winning team. The Pelicans are the team we aspire to be. Instead of thrashing these winners-of-the-next-draft, we should emulate their every misstep in this game.

Yeah, I mean we could have some amazing lottery luck and hop into top4 but that seems very unlikely. Probably more likely we have a team or two jump us again and end up with the 10th pick or such.

We're building up to many wins to have top5 odds. There's going to be much more tanking competition this year with a strong draft so it won't be possible to finish like last year where we back in to the 3rd slot.

Holy shit I can’t get over how bad Scoot looks. Holy holy shit.

Don't like Scoot's game these last five minutes. Playing with some guys who don't get to play much and instead of trying to set them up he is either fumbling the ball or going iso.

Huh? He’s had a fine game despite a few miscues.
They didn’t defend him in garbage time. Garbage time.

can’t shoot can’t finish. Inconsistent defensive effort. Turnover prone. So many bad habits. I expect him to start playing 35mpg because the Blazers really need to start losing.

Dude, as you said, it was garbage time. Did you watch the rest of the game? He played well.

For as good as we played in the first half, we looked bad in the second. Really, Delano coming in took any wind out of us, because, on a team that doesn't share the ball, having him on the floor when he's not making shots is the worst; he just will keep chucking it up there.

And I hate to beat a dead horse, because I really want Scoot to be at least good, but following what we were talking about last game, he played 30 minutes tonight, had fewer points than shots, had as many turnovers as assists, missed numerous shots in the paint ... he's playing against opponents tonight he should be better than. He looked uninterested. He didn't involve his teammates (although, admittedly, Chauncey's all-iso, all-the-time offense with no away-from-the-ball movement doesn't held a creator). How does playing him 35 minutes of PG per game make any of the other young players on our team better? He didn't do anything tonight to make anyone who didn't know who he was think he was any better than any of the other scrubs for either team.

Yeah, I can't take seriously anyone watching him play tonight thinking he had a "fine game."

When 13 points on 40% shooting, 5 assists and 5 turnovers against a 7-win team's third string is "a fine game" for a second-year player who was the third pick in the draft, the bar we're setting for Scoot is embarrassingly low. We might as well just give him a participation trophy and pat him on the head for any time he doesn't lose the ball. We're infantilizing him. Literally no expectations.
