Curious if Ant and Grant came off the bench would we feel differently about their games. Ones an electric scorer who can score in bunches and the other is veteran who is a 3 and D.

isn’t that exactly the two type of players you want off the bench? Would either like it probably not (Grant may be ok with it) but I love scorers off the bench. That said they are making starter money so need to go. Plus not sure Billups has the nuts to bring them off the bench.

Ayton finally maturing and really seems to love this team? Him and Clingan really compliment each other. My biggest fear with Ayton is he thinks he’s max player

I agree with you, although Sharpe, in one. of his better games, played 33 minutes .......off the bench. He came in just after the 8-minute mark.
Ant played only 21 minutes as a starter. So although I have advocated for Simons to come off the bench, I am not sure it makes much of a difference.
But yeah I think they should try it at some point.

Same with Grant after the trade deadline if they are unsuccessful in dumping his salary.

Honestly, the market will determine if he's a max player.
 
Wonder what lineup based net ratings say but Scoot looks his best when he's on the floor WITHOUT Ant.

With Ant, he seems like he defers and is tentative.

Not sure it would tell us much because he is simply playing better now. So anything from earlier in the year I would discount.
Plus there are other factors like Deni who is also effective at running the offense.

However, I would prefer if Scoot and Shae started together with Deni, Camara, and Ayton. I like that Chauncey has tried numerous combinations of lineups, but I think he needs to try that one too.

That is a good point. Maybe he can do more than what they are allowing him to do. But I see a lot of him bringing the ball upcourt, making a pass, and then standing at the 3-point line while their two forwards try to score. Maybe that is what they want. I realize he is a decent defender though.

I have Charge and the other one, KUNP and I think watched a couple of games on that one but they don't do it anymore. I watched two I believe. Charge doesn't show Blazer games. I can illegally stream to my phone thanks to a poster in here giving me the link. We've been through this. Antenna doesn't work. I have two of them actually. Root was better for me.

I’m in the same boat. Have those channels and tried a couple antennas which didn’t work. So I stream games from websites and usually it’s the other teams broadcast

yet @THE HCP, who's in the business, doesnt know this is possible. which is why i keep making comments about the topic because there are so many people who think the Blazers absolutely nailed this new tv stuff.

@THE HCP is a multi-time winning Emmy award winning EVS operator who has been in the business for over 20 years. Thats not my job or my “business” and couldn’t tell you a thing about that shit. Thats like asking an F1 racer why some redneck close minded hillbilly from Wyoming can’t see the race in Dubai.

One of the goals this year was to get clarity on who to build around, and who is expendable. We're getting close to it becoming obvious.

Ant has to go. We'll suck more in the immediate future but open up a runway for guards who have a higher ceiling than him.

Cronin has mistimed cashing in on a ton of assets already. If he waits longer and it becomes obvious to external observers that Ant could be holding back Scoot/Shae, Cronin's leverage will get worse. And the value will be even worse next year as an expiring contract where Ant can dictate destinations.

An Ant trade next week is near the top of my to do list.

Media/Blazers? You work in the truck? Part of that team but don’t know who can watch? Cool FAMs. I would *think* someone who works in your field and spends time with an organization day in day out might know more than let’s say…..anyone else.

I do know more than anyone else. I can tell you what kind of cars the players drive and their favorite restaurants when we are in Chicago. I can tell you what Ant had to eat when they rented out a theatre in Memphis for us to all go watch a movie and in fact I could tell you who sits next to Banton on the team plane.
Now if you want to know why certain people can’t get a signal somewhere to see my work….. just ain’t in my job description FAMS! I’m not paid to know that.
I knew for like 15 years my family couldn’t watch any Blazers games because we chose to have DirecTV and not Comcast. But I know now we can all watch. Thats all I know.
This concept shouldn’t be too tough to get a grip on son.

If we are still a bit stumped by this….. a chef doesn’t know how his food gets delivered to its final destination, he just makes sure it’s cooked right! Thats me bro! #ChefFAMS

This is all obvious Blazer fan knowledge.
