Why are we trying to win games by playing vets a shit ton of minutes? You think we're making the 8th seed?
We have a shot. The object is to win games. You seem to have forgotten that. I know I'm not going to convince you so go ahead and have the last word. I'm going to enjoy the win.

Trail Blazers 121
Suns 119

I"m trusting Chauncey has a handle on this.

I would like an explanation why they didn't foul up 3 at the end of regulation. Probably on the players.

No. The object is to win championships. Not win games. Some games are meaningless. Some games are not. I didn't forget anything. The objective is still to build a team that can win a title.

And that shit is so fucking weak dude.

YOU made a lame ass post about people being misguided for wanting to trade Simons and Grant. I responded and now you're going to act like this? Troll ass shit.

"Ant didn't shoot well but was huge in the game." That answers it all. How Chauncey sees Anfernee. He was huge.

Meahwhile, "Scoot played well."

Scoot had 9 shots for 15 points while Simons took 16 shots for 13 points.

Scoot shot 40% on threes, Simons 25%.

Scoot played 22 minutes and Simons played 42 minutes. It must've been Simons' defense that did it for him.

That is some kind of fucked up.

last game: Ant-Ayton-Grant 96 minutes/37 shots....Scoot-Sharpe-Clingan 61 minutes/22 shots

this game: Ant-Ayton-Grant 125 minutes/51 shots....Scoot-Sharpe-Clingan 51 minutes/18 shots

last 2 games: Ant-Ayton-Grant 221 minutes/88 shots....Scoot-Sharpe-Clingan 112 minutes/40 shots

tonight: Ant-Ayton-Grant 51 points on 51 shots....Scoot-Sharpe-Clingan 28 points on 18 shots

I guess those people saying getting a high draft pick doesn't matter are right, because it sure as shit doesn't matter to management or coaching. Go with the vets to win games!! Put the 3 high lottery picks on the bench and bury them!!

It's really only a problem if it persists past our next game.

what are you expecting?

if a trade of any of the vets was pending, they wouldn't have played over 40 minutes tonight. Chauncey wants to win games and he believes those vets give him the best shot at winning. I don't think he gives a shit about the future of the team, especially if he knows there's a good chance he won't be the HC next season

So are we gonna trade some of these guys are or are we going for it all this year as is?

I think RWIII is gone.

Because the young vets are very much apart of this team. I don't even understand how that's a question

I think Ant is #1. You have your #3 pick turning into a star before your very eyes and he's being held back by Ant being in his way.

Simons is tricky. Somehow he's in the way of both Scoot and Sharpe. And we thought he was bad at defense

He also really praised Grant; it was hilarious.

It's this TRUST word again.

Michael Holton said "I though two things happened that were significant.

ONE, Chauncey stayed with him and TRUSTED him to have the ball in his hands down the stretch of the game on a night when he wasn't knocking down shots.

I though that vote of confidence, not that it was needed, sent a message to the entire team, that we're going to play the way we play and we're going to be consistent and TRUST the result.

So what's the message to Scoot? You got picked by the wrong team because we have Anfernee Simons?

You bring a good point. I put him where I did because of his age. Ultimately I hope we can get good return for them.

The more I hear Chauncey share his coaching approach and see the vision starting to unfold, I'm seriously about to be fully on board the Chauncey train. I’m excited to see where he takes things!
