What does this mean?
I hope our scouting department has identified a top line guy that is getting slept on because of the draft's reputation.

Dude is going to be 34 next month - would have been insane for our 21 win team to try and keep him.Why we didn’t build around Holiday is mind boggling.

Now why the Bucks did the trade, sending out a proven two way guy who won them a title, and gave up 3 years of their drafts is the questionable decision.
New Orleans can and probably will defer that pick. The Lakers don't have pick 17. It goes to New Orleans.
If that's the case and they can move 3 picks, I'm guessing 2024, 2029 and 2031? I'd think if Lebron stays they would be interested in Simons or Grant. They have Hachimura and Gabe Vincent for salaries.New Orleans can and probably will defer that pick.
They aren't giving up 3 picks for Simons or Grant lol. They're probably thinking of Donovan Mitchell, etc.If that's the case and they can move 3 picks, I'm guessing 2024, 2029 and 2031? I didn't say they would. Was just throwing out potential pieces and players they may be interested in.They aren't giving up 3 picks for Simons or Grant lol. They're probably thinking of Donovan Mitchell, etc.
???I legitimately hope we do NOT move up in the draft.
Yes, of course in theory you can't lose by having more options, and getting #1 gives you 100% of options
BUT
This is a draft that essentially has no first round, it's all second-round. It's that bad. And when you have a high pick you are pretty much forced to take the big swing. And I think the top three or four ranked players look like busts. This is a draft where the team that picks #1 ends up with Anthony Bennett/Olowokandi/Kwame Brown.
PLUS (and this is a stupid reason but) I don't want to waste any good "moving up in the draft" mojo this year when we want to save it for better drafts.
Hachimura blows. I'd rather keep SimonsIf that's the case and they can move 3 picks, I'm guessing 2024, 2029 and 2031? I'd think if Lebron stays they would be interested in Simons or Grant. They have Hachimura and Gabe Vincent for salaries.
glad I read this thread....don't know why but for some reason I was thinking the lottery was a 5:30PM today
I just don't understand this thought process. Getting the best player right now in this draft would not change our prospects next year. The Blazers will still not be a good team. They will still be a lotto team next year.‘Ugh we’re probably gonna get #1 in a horrible draft’
<gets #6>
‘ok sorta wish we had #1.’
We’re drafting CaitlinI hope our scouting department has identified a top line guy that is getting slept on because of the draft's reputation.
Yeah, get #1 and figure it out later. block out the haters and grab the guy you like the most.I just don't understand this thought process.
Exactly! get the best player that they absolutely can. Maybe two of them? Heck get a couple decent second rounders as well.Yeah, get #1 and figure it out later. block out the haters and grab the guy you like the most.
The the 14th pick is a lock or they don't get it at all.Hoping for 1 and 14! I get the age of the Warriors, and the better draft next year. I also worry that they'll be aggressive in the offseason to give Curry and Draymond one final run at it, and make a big trade. I'd rather push our rebuild further along now.
That's because 5:30 PM is the time when we've finally come off the high of getting the #1 pick this year.
He's doing the "Temper Your Expectations" gig early this year. Has to beings everyone already expects to be a lotto team next year. He can't work that angle in the prediction thread for this next season.that high will have already been crushed from 5 hours of HCP telling everybody, 87 times or more, that the draft class absolutely sucks
Don’t we have an age limit on this team though? Why we didn’t build around Holiday is mind boggling.
