the nicer Laker podcasters figured it out.
LeBron is going to take supermax salary, so he can buy the Lakers after he retires.

He'd have to have plenty of partners, as I doubt he could buy the Lakers. They're valued at almost 6 billion (and I'd bet they'd go for more than that).

Mitchell is multiple tiers better than Simons.
His advanced defensive metrics are much better, however much stock you put in those, but not offensively. And I don't think Simons has even reached his full potential, I think he'll get better at getting to the rim and FT line, which is a skill Lillard gained with age.

How about a skosh?

At this point, I don't care where Jerami goes, as long as they get a decent return for him. He's played not even 120 games as a Blazer, so there's no deep connection.

And he's clearly not here for the long haul, nor is he really a difference maker.

One interesting note is that the Lakers still haven't done their official press conference for Dalton Knecht. Almost every team has already introduced their rookies officially. Probably still holding him out incase there is a trade.

I think he's only a smidge better than Anfernee at this point.

a "smidge"?

Joe will probably ask him where he wants to go just to make him happy and we’ll get a weak return.

Yeah someone needs to lay off the crack pipe for a bit

Geez, with Carter and Isaac and Mo, I had completely forgotten about Goga. Embarrassment of riches at the center position. They need to let one or two of them go.
Mo played for Philadelphia last season, and the Lakers before that.

Wagner, not Bamba.

When you think someone is wrong, you might consider first looking for an explanation how they might have been right, so that you don't look silly correcting them incorrectly.

i remember several Donovan Mitchell "unhappy in Cleveland" reports. Mitchell was supposed to take a huge paycut, then help LeBron & Bronny get to the Finals.

nope... 3 year, 150m, Cavs are not piecing out their playoff team.

Ok. I think of Mo Wagner as Moritz. And Mamba was on the Magic initially.

Orlando won't share. They're keeping both Wagners

the Lakers GM mumbled out some CBA and tax apron blah blah blah while introducing Bronny & Knecht. It sounds like LA is setting up a 2 timeline rebuild.

The last thing Portland needs is a Lakers helium filled ping pong ball floating to the top. Go Lakers! Make the playoffs!!

over/under

LeBron puts his kid in the starting lineup
