Doesn't matter--they're a second-apron team, they couldn't trade for Ayton if they wanted to.
I think NOLA might have serious interest in Ayton. Maybe we could be a third team in an Ingram trade where they get Ayton and a FRP and we get a bad contract, prospect and a FRP.

$62.8 million a year is absurd. Seems we are about 10 years away from $100 Mill a year player.

No player is worth this much money. It's just sports. Yikes.

Saddiq Bey and Precious Achiuwa are still unsigned. Any rumors on where they're expected to end up? If Ant/Grant's salaries do get dumped, either of these guys could conceivably be interesting additions to our rebuild.

I'd respond first with no CEO is worth that kind of money.

i wonder if lebron sees his team striking out at every corner and decides to just force a S&T to the warriors.

Magic re-signed Goga and working on an extension for Isaac - but Mo is out there hanging. Are they going to break up the Wagner boys?

No, they are worth more than that much money. They don't even work in a free market where their pay can accurately correlate with what they are making the business they are in. Max salaries specifically, even more than salary caps, really skew things against the superstar players especially in this sport. Superstars make their teams and the league more money in the NBA than in any other league in professional sports (maybe not soccer, I don't know enough about that to say).

So the bottom line is most of us on this forum watch most of the Blazers games. A lot of us watch dozens of other games that are nationally broadcast. Then there are others with NBA league pass that catch a couple of games three or four days a week, some recorded. The money that you see the players making is a minimized reflection of what the teams and league as a whole make. Unless you're a communist (which I can respect but don't agree with) these guys are worth every cent they make and the superstars are worth more.

God I love the League Pass and my DVR!
you don't have Root ?? You're missing the Mariners in Cerrano mode. "Jobu hit straight pitch very far. Jobu no let me hit curving ball."

Yeah I just have the league pass app so I can click on any game from any team all season long on my phone, computer or tv. I don't have a Tesla but my little brother does and he catches up on games from around the league during his commute.

League Pass used to be worth it and now with it's price decrease it's a steal for a basketball fan.

Geez, with Carter and Isaac and Mo, I had completely forgotten about Goga. Embarrassment of riches at the center position. They need to let one or two of them go.

I understand and agree that in this current climate that they make that much because of the absurd numbers teams rake in, but:

No CEO, no player, nothing is worth $100 a mil if we too aren't paying the people that actually make a difference in this world.

Oh, and make sure you give professional teams the least amount of money possible. I wish everyone did that. Until they stop gouging us.

Laker fans are currently hoping Buddy Hield will be the chosen one, who will restore order to the LeBron Dynasty.

Yeah, when you include other super rich people and think about the people that educate children who don't have luxury or even more so the people in our food supply chain that often times are working overtime just to clear our poverty line. There are some things that are definitely out of whack.

today's Pelicans gossip involves trading stuff to Utah for Lauri Markkanen.

Any free agent cheap leftovers for Jody and Joe?

Yeah, that's what my original posts intent was. I did it poorly, mainly cause of my aggravation lol
