This is like when they played Giannis at PG or KD's rookie year when they played him at SG. Nobody thinks he's a point, the aim is to develop him. It's risky, because he'll get his lumps playing there, and guards will be looking to swipe the ball every time, but half a season of that and it'll work wonders for his all-around skillset. Plus he's probably got the right attitude that it won't break his spirit. I'm sure he'll still win ROY. Maybe wait a couple of games, hope he struggles and make a big bet on it.Flagg starts at PG and gets no assists. Dallas, we have a problem.
I wanted more Matisse, but we just have too many of that type of player. I'm sure people will say we should've sat Murray and given his minutes to Matisse, but Murray is significantly bigger than Thybulle. He's our smallball power forward.holiday/thybulle/deni/tou is a menacing defensive lineup
I took this as his "I'm a starter, bitches!" gameGrant for 6th man???
Sadly we're still asking. This is gonna be close. Who’s our go to guy?
That would have been a losing bet.It looks like Minnesota is only a 4.5 point favorite, so you should put some big money on it!
Most people hate on him irrationally, without context of his directive.I am not saying he deserves to start. I don't want him to start. I am saying everyone who argued all summer that he would start just because of his salary was wrong. As for his stats, he was 3rd on the team for rebounds, he played good D, and I am pretty sure he had the best +/- of anyone on the team. So Chauncey did have an argument to start him, yet didn't. That, and he didn't care about Grant pouting or not, like some said he would.
He was playing defense. He was in a legal guarding position. The offense shoved him in his chest and displaced him. He did not flop on that play at all. He did play good defense and was not rewarded for it. The referee penalized him for playing good defense , and did a disservice to the game. It was an easy call and the ref swallowed his whistle.Just play defense and you don't give up the 3. If the ref calls it, great. If not, you don't give up 6pts by playing soft. We win the game.

No I am watching in Redmond. I am able to get the Madras Feed over the air off Grey Butte. So that means no?
Whelp…Most people hate on him irrationally, without context of his directive.
Probably, but it was wedged in between 30 nights of 1-14 shooting games.Didn’t CJ have a 50 point game last year?
I tell ya what, I REALLY love seeing Matisse, Camara and Deni out there together.I wanted more Matisse, but we just have too many of that type of player. I'm sure people will say we should've sat Murray and given his minutes to Matisse, but Murray is significantly bigger than Thybulle. He's our smallball power forward.
Which isn't ideal. The search for the next Draymond continues.
Imagine them with Timelord...I tell ya what, I REALLY love seeing Matisse, Camara and Deni out there together.
Did you honestly think we were going to beat Minnesota last night?Another fourth quarter collapse. No offense, no defense, no leadership, no coaching. I know, on game, but is it going to get easier?
I'm in a bad mood.
Hopefully rally tonight lifts my spirits but we shouldn't have to do it.
YesDid you honestly think we were going to beat Minnesota last night?
Funny enough, the head coach that played Giannis at PG early in his career... Jason Kidd. This is like when they played Giannis at PG or KD's rookie year when they played him at SG. I disagree but not super strongly. They took the lead when we started flopping. Thats on us not them. They couldn’t take the lead against us before then. I think if that’s Minnesota not taking an opponent seriously and waiting to turn it on in the fourth they’re going to lose more games than they’ll be comfortable with this season. To me, it seemed like Minny was cruising the entire game. It felt like they were pacing themselves for a long season, not losing contact with the Blazers, then just taking the lead at the end. Perhaps I'm wrong.
I loved the defensive effort, but our offensive execution was garbage at the end of the 4th.
Right on. Is it cool if I ask WHY? Other than you simply being a fan of the Blazers and WANTING them to win.
Because they played so well three quarters and had lead. I thought they would hold it and win.Right on. Is it cool if I ask WHY? Other than you simply being a fan of the Blazers and WANTING them to win.
