GAME NOTES

• The Blazers are 49-77 all time vs the Celtics
• The Blazers haven't defeated the Celtics since January 21, 2022 and have lost the last 6 matchups
• The Blazers and Celtics will face off again on 1/26 in Boston
• Anfernee Simons was drafted by the Blazers in 2018. He played for the Blazers from 2018-2025 until he was traded to Boston in return for Jrue Holiday. The Celtics regret the trade.
• Jrue Holiday played for the Celtics from 2023-25. He was traded there by Portland in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams after being acquired for Damian Lillard. The Blazers traded back for Holiday two seasons later for Anfernee Simons.
• Luka Garza was part of the Blazers 2022 Summer League Championship roster

aaaaannnnnd now.....for your Portlaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand.....TraaaaailllllllBlaZers!!!!

We were that close to being the Boston Trail Blazers...a coin flip.

What did Jrue do to his calf? Sever it? It seems every injury we have appears to be more serious than average, takes most of these guys seemingly forever to be able to play again

The idea of tanking certainly makes the reality of injuries easier for some fans to swallow.

That's not what I see. Different strokes....

I don't think we're tanking but we're also not contending. I think we'd see some of these guys playing already if we were contending and wins and losses were our bottom line.

Right now I think keeping vets with nagging injuries out to prevent catastrophic injuries is a priority that takes precedent above winning games. I think you would see expidited timelines on these injuries if the team had a realistic goal of home court advantage in the playoffs or even anything above the play-in.

I don't think that's tanking but it's also not the type of strategy you get on a contender or even a wannabe contender where guys play through injuries.

Ya, that sounds pretty accurate. I don't think the Blazers W/L is insurmountable, and there is still a real chance at the playoffs....but that window is closing rapidly. For me, it feels like they are trying to tread water while letting guys get fully healed for the second half.

That said, I am and will always be an eternal optimist. To see things otherwise would define the very reason why I would no longer enjoy this. Sooooooooo...

Go Blazers!

Maybe they're hoping that they'll pull a Dallas, and get the #1 pick while not at all deserving it.

Man this is gonna be really really ugly. Horseshit offense. ISO drive, iso drive …
Why not go down low to DC?

I think I'm finally at my breaking point. I despise Kris Murray. The guy does incredibly low IQ stuff and is allergic to even looking at the hoop even when he's wide open.

Yang leads all POR at +6.
17 turnovers. Simply cant handle to ball w/o a proper PG. that is a major weakness of Deni. Turnovers.

The next legal screen the Celtics bigs make will be the first legal screen the Celtics bigs make.

Rupert also has +6

All you need is Love

you guys really need to not pay attention to +/- for a game. It's a useless stat
