It could be, but I kind of doubt it. No coach is going to dissuade his most dangerous offensive weapon from doing what he does best. That, and almost every coach will tell you the ideal is to get layups, free throws or open 3-pointers. That doesn't mean that it's done to the exclusion of everything else, just that it's the goal from a team perspective.
Plus, having watched him in the preseason, he was getting shots at all three levels. I think he's been getting shots at all three levels in the regular season, and I haven't noticed any real differences in Chauncey's or Tiago's approaches to this team. I think Shaedon's shooting issues probably are as simple as he's just not as consistent a shooter as he should be, and his stats leading into this season support that. He's never been as consistent a shooter as he should be.
