Game Thread 2025-26 GAME #4 - BLAZERS @ LAKERS - MONDAY - OCTOBER 27, 2025 - 7:30 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION (2 Viewers)

Wife and I went to Carson Hot Springs and got a 3rd floor room with a hot tub on the deck. About 3 places you can get food around there, and none had the game on. Ordered some take out and turned on the TV....low and behold, it was on in our room....and you could view it through a window from the hot tub!

Dunno if this will work just linking it but here’s a comparison after 152 games for each player.

I agree Camara isn’t fully there yet, but the comparison isn’t so far away as half. They are being asked to different things on different teams so it’s not a perfect comparison.

What it looks like when you watch your team and wish they were more like the opponent:

Cool. I am very much done having stupid threads made that serve no purpose. Ignored.

Ignored after this thread? About the look on Andy Garcia's face during the Lakers game? I can't celebrate our teams great play recently with a topic about this without offending your extremely sensitive sensibilities? Really?? I'm absolutely devastated! I'm going to be in turmoil knowing my quality content is going to be missed by you from now on!

What will you do if you can't hunt the board for something to go full-drama on?

Note: I tried to target your post and not you, how'd I do? I think I still need to work on that.

Looks like when you watch the equivalent of a G league team stay in a game against a full NBA roster

Listened to Tiago’s post game interview and caught something. He mentioned a couple of times they are looking for two things on offense, layups and kick out 3’s. I think this is why Sharpe may be struggling his offense is really built for mid range and drives. If he’s not shooting mid range which I consider one of the strongest parts of his game I think he’s trying to adjust and struggling to find his offense.

I like the theory of layups or 3’s but I also think mid range is crucial in playoff games because teams shut down 3’ and layups.

I wonder what percentage of his 3's are from kick outs?
To your point, he is shooting 57% from 10-16 feet this season. He could use a few more of those attempts.

It could be, but I kind of doubt it. No coach is going to dissuade his most dangerous offensive weapon from doing what he does best. That, and almost every coach will tell you the ideal is to get layups, free throws or open 3-pointers. That doesn't mean that it's done to the exclusion of everything else, just that it's the goal from a team perspective.

Plus, having watched him in the preseason, he was getting shots at all three levels. I think he's been getting shots at all three levels in the regular season, and I haven't noticed any real differences in Chauncey's or Tiago's approaches to this team. I think Shaedon's shooting issues probably are as simple as he's just not as consistent a shooter as he should be, and his stats leading into this season support that. He's never been as consistent a shooter as he should be.

Honestly I may be reaching just seems like he’s driving more and taking low percentage shots a lot of the time he goes left trying to finish left handed. Where in the past it seemed like he would be more controlled and get the elbow shots that he was so good at. I haven’t seen many of those attempts this year. I have no way of proving that and again you may be right it may be that’s he’s simply missing shots.

One thing for sure is if he wants to be elite he has to improve not only his shot but his dribbling in traffic

You need someone who can create offense if there aren't layups or 3s.

Sharpe hasn't been able to create offense effectively, this year or really prior seasons. He should focus on making shots efficiently first, and once he can do that then work more to create his own additional shots.

I'd rather see Deni, Jrue, Grant, heck even Yang/Love/Rupert all collectively create offense a bit more and Sharpe create a bit less. He's forcing too many difficult attempts.

The Blazers are going to have some bad periods of offense with this roster. That's fine, but I'd rather have guys playing somewhat similar roles to when hopefully it improves.

I don't know what you mean by "he should be". Sharpe has always been inefficient. Why "should" he be better?

Thought I heard over the summer that Sharpe worked extensively on his handle.

Same shit was said about Deni last year and I said be patient don’t reel him in, the talent will always rise. Multiple players have said same thing about Sharpe he’ll eventually start hitting shots and get more under control now is not the time to pull him back. This is the year to go all in on him and see if he’s got it not pull back after especially after 4 games. Think we’ve also seen similar problems with Scoot things the year to develop and finally see what we got take the reins off. They are still so young
