From what I've read about 2-way contracts:
- The 2-way player can play up to 50 regular season games.
- Other NBA teams cannot sign other team's 2-way players during the season.
- The original team can convert a 2-way contract to a standard NBA contract at any time, often doing this to lock in a player for playoffs. (open roster spots of course needed)
-
The Blazers have the option to offer Sidy or Love a qualifying offer (equal to the 1-year minimum) to retain their rights to match any free agent offer they may get. The qualifying offer must be made by June 29.
During the off-season, would Sidy or Love get an offer from another team above the minimum? If so, would the Blazers go much above the minimum to retain them?
