That's interesting when I literally wrote the WCF is a coin toss series either team can win, I also said the same thing before game 1, and said I was rooting for Dallas. You just making stuff up with the voices in your head doesn't make it reality.

Edmonton is being dominated this game. They should suck their goaltender‘s cock who’s not that good

We should hope McDavid wins the cup this year because I guarantee he’s gonna be a Ranger and that’s what I’m hearing.

I don’t know I’m not ruling it out. Nobody gives a shit if you win a cup in Edmonton or Florida

I'd bet if you asked Conor McDavid 1000 times who he would rather play for...Edmonton or the NY Rangers he would answer Edmonton. Every. Time.
I would argue there are few players outside of the current Rangers roster who give a fuck about the Rangers winning another cup.

I can guarantee if you asked McDavid's agent that same question 1000 times what his answer would be.

Yeah, whoever is willing to pay more. But thanks to a salary cap neither team really has leverage over the other.

McDavid is a UFA '26-'27, Draisaitl is making $14 mil, where does that put McDavid, $20? Can Edmonton afford those 2 contracts? I don't think a trade is that far fetched and with the Rangers losing Panarin's salary next year they're one of the teams that can step up with McDavid money. Definitely good board fodder.

Fair enough, for board fodder. I would just temper expectations. I never got over the Joe Sakic debacle from '97.

Don't forget the current team has an advantage, per the CBA they can offer an 8-year deal and other teams can only offer a 7-year deal, that does give Edmonton the edge.

While I think it's an absolute pipedream the Oilers would ever let the best player in the NHL leave, regardless of what Draisaitl makes, I do think it is a good board discussion as Panzer wrote.

When the dust settles, I expect the Oilers will re-sign McDavid for $16M-$17M per over 7 or 8 seasons, which wouldn't kick in until 26-27, when the cap is up 7 or 8 million.

Looks like I overestimated Dallas maybe Hintz not playing was a bigger deal and I thought. If McDavid wins a cup, I think he’ll come to New York. He’s back tonight, but he looks rusty.

SCF rematch here we come. The Oilers were on the ropes big time against the Kings in round 1 but got out of a down 2-0 in the series, down multiple goals in game 3 situation to win the series, and the rest is history as they've been dominant since then.

While I think the SCF can go either way and I wouldn't be surprised, I won't pick against the Oilers again. I think the Oilers win the Cup this year, especially with home ice where they are great. If Edmonton wins it will end the 32-year drought for Canadian teams not winning the Cup.

That is a big loss, makes the upcoming Florida SCF even more of a coin toss than I already thought it would be.

Florida with 3 goals in just over four and a half minutes to take the lead. Could put the Canes out of their misery tonight.

The Conference Finals round has been down in both the NHL and NBA this season, all four series were 3-1. You may get two series end in 5 tonight, OKC game is over, and we'll see if Florida holds on. And tomorrow night you could see the other two series end in 5, although I think the Stars and Knicks could force those series to game 6's.

Ferraro called McDavid the fastest player ever in the NHL. Wonder if that’s true.

Rematch in the SCF's. Tossup series that goes at least 6 games I think, but with home ice I'll take the Oilers to end the Canadian drought in a long series.

Another great game, can't believe the Oilers let Marchand beat them twice on breakaways, what a great pickup. When Ferraro talks about McDavid being the fastest I think he's referring to skating through a crowd with the puck, he skates through multiple defenders effortlessly truly an incredible player to watch.

It was a great game, we figured a great long series, and it's living up to the billing thus far.

The play McDavid made on the Oilers 3rd goal was ridiculous, there is no doubt in my mind he's clearly the best player in the league. The speed, size, and vision he has are rare traits in one person.

Every shift McDavid is on the ice he's trying to make something happen, the talent gap between Connor and the Rangers #1 overall lazy bastard Laf is cavernous. Trading Laf to a Canadian team is my #1 offseason priority, last season should have embarrassed him but instead he's making political statements, hopefully Drury can dump this heap on another team instead of relying on a player with a NTC to be cooperative with a trade.

I don't care what their record is, the Oilers are such a different team on the road. I am not saying they aren't a good team away from Edmonton, they are, but they are way less explosive and freewheeling. I expect them to win a game in Florida, and for this to be a long coin flip series, but the Panthers really took it to them last night.

Hellebuyck won the Hart and Vezina today. In other news, over the past 3 playoffs he has 3.44, 5.23, and 3.08 GAA's AND .886, .870, and .866 SV%'s, he's also 8-15 over that time span. You keep winning those Hart's and Vezina's Connor.

Panthers on the verge of going up 3-1, and closing in on winning back-to-back cups, with 3 straight SCF's. Impressive.

Florida is such a good team.

Wouldn’t this be Perry’s 4th straight SCF appearance and lost them all?

that is unbelievable.
