There are a few silver linings, but it's still a disappointing loss. Their lack of 3 point shooting is their biggest issue. If they shot *league* average, they would've had like 12 more points.

Scoot was a silver lining. 7-11 for 18 points.

It's a shame the Jrue took 15 shots and had 9 points.

edit: Jrue did have 11 assists and only 1 turnover. Maybe pass the ball to Scoot more?

With 2:30 to play someone (Deni) finally went into Wemby's chest. And scored.

One team played hard

We had a couple of lapses but for the most part we played hard. We missed open threes which is to be expected by this squad and allowed Wemby to cause terrible shooting inside which we usually don't do.

It's hard to see how we beat these Spurs without making our open threes and that's what it will take to have a chance at a win... that and playing even harder on defense than we did tonight.

I'm beginning to see Scoot as more of a scoring guard than a point guard but will he have much impact with his lack of height and below average defense?

I have not posted in almost 45 minutes give or take and we are at halftime and the Blazers are lucky to only be down by 10.

The only player to show up tonight is Deni

The Blazers cannot rebound , block out , defend , shoot , run a good offense or defense but let's blame the refs. Now I will give you the refs do make it tougher at times for the Blazers but good teams find a way past that for the most part. Also why are we not letting Williams or DC man up Wemby cause worst that can happen is they get in foul trouble but maybe getting physical with him might work if not the bigs maybe someone like Sidy who if he fouls out WHO the fuck cares. Maybe it will tire him out or something but instead we want to put midgets on him and then wonder why he makes them look stupid. I mean Splitter is a big man who should get this but for some reason he has not even tried and DC only has one foul and Williams none so it could not hurt.

I will be curious to see what adjustments Tiago makes cause this for me will tell me if he is the right guy for the job. I am not looking for a miracle just some solid coaching adjustments that might make a difference.
