Yes he didReggie loved Scoot's performance.
I just want my team to win. I don't give a fuck who's healthy
The other guy kept calling Time Lord “Robin Williams The Third” so there’s plenty of indignity to go around. That's Reggie Miller just being a fucking goober.
Wasn’t that the Nurk Fever year? He was really close to being our best player some nights.neither was a star or the team's best player
I think Nurk fever was just before that series so, yeah, it wasn't Lillard but Nurk was beasting before his leg snapped off. I didn't realize you only limited it to one franchise player.neither was a star or the team's best player
might have been....yeah, just looked. But he wasn't going to make any difference against the Warriors in those playoffs. That was the season they won a championship by going 16-1 in the playoffs. Warriors swept the Blazers with an average MOV of 18 pointsWasn’t that the Nurk Fever year? He was really close to being our best player some nights.
Nurk Fever year was 2017. He was out and we got swept. Same in 2019 in WCF.Wasn’t that the Nurk Fever year? He was really close to being our best player some nights.
It’s part of the game. Should OKC not be happy to win a championship since Haliburton got injured in game 7? What about the Pistons in 89? The Lakers in 2020, among others? If people want to deny that a team missing a first team ALL NBA guy, DPOY candidate freak show isnt newsworthy or a major reason for beating them, thats fine. Its not reality, but fine. If its hurting people's feelings so be it. I sure do remember plenty of people whining about Blazer injuries as a reason for losing games. But when they win because of injuries everyone should shut up and ignore it.
Ok guy. I mean, those are Finals teams but sure. Nobody is unhappy they won. I am just saying pump the brakes a bit on the win vs the wemby-less Spurs. Its not an indication of a suddenly great Portland team. Its about a team that just took a major hit with a legit superstar out. It’s part of the game. STOPSTOP
If Deni was out, this place would be making excuses NONSTOP. Just enjoy the win.
Bullshit. It was a great win against a great team that played well without Wemby all year. On the road, no less. I guess 2015 Warriors weren’t a great team. Or the 2003 Spurs. Or the 2019 Raptors… etc etc. AND Blazers played better with Wemby on the floor than off! Facts.Ok guy. I mean, those are Finals teams but sure. Nobody is unhappy they won. Except that wasn't what was done.If people want to deny that a team missing a first team ALL NBA guy, DPOY candidate freak show isnt newsworthy or a major reason for beating them, thats fine. Alright. I have no idea what you're talking about or what goal posts are being moved. But don't care that much.Except that wasn't what was done.
I'm saying guy that misses games is going to miss games and to act like he won't miss games is disingenuous.
Stop moving goalposts.
shoot. the spurs should bench him the rest of the playoffs then.Bullshit. It was a great win against a great team that played well without Wemby all year. On the road, no less. I guess 2015 Warriors weren’t a great team. Or the 2003 Spurs. Or the 2019 Raptors… etc etc. AND Blazers played better with Wemby on the floor than off! Facts.
Well, if your feelings are hurt, you know, so be it, someone once told me.Alright. I have no idea what you're talking about or what goal posts are being moved. But don't care that much.
He's played in 74% of their games. He is not 'more likely to be in street clothes". They are better with him than without. Period. I am not sure what the debate is about. All I said was this one win was more about them being with him vs. the Blazers being a great team (they were 42-40 in case you dont remember).Well, if your feelings are hurt, you know, so be it, someone once told me.
I'll try to explain it to you. Injuries happen. And players who are missing games, no matter how extraordinary they are, will miss games and they won't be there to help their teams win those games. And, also, all teams deal with injuries.
No one said Wemby being hurt wasn't newsworthy. I certainly didn't say (nor did I see anyone saying, but I might have missed it) that Wemby getting hurt doesn't help our cause. No one's denying he's a rare talent.
But what you aren't acknowledging is that Wemby gets hurt. He gets hurt quite a bit, in fact.
If you're drafting players, you always consider their injury history. It's relevant. If Wembanyama was playing 76 games per year for all three of his years and he got hurt, yeah, shocking, because it'd be a bad break and no one would see it coming. But he's not done that. He hasn't done that ever.
As much as his shot blocking and rare shooting off the dribble for his size are part of what makes him who he is, the fact that he's likely to be in street clothes in a big game also is part of who he is, and, if the Spurs lose because of it, well, that's because the Spurs are who they are.
I remember Derrick Rose was going to change the game, and Jay Williams was going to change the game, and Kristaps Porzingas was going to change the game, and Zion Williams was going to change the game, and Ja Morant was going to change the game. All scintillating talents.
Teams have to play with who they have, and if the superstar player they have has a tendency to miss games, they have to be prepared to win games without that guy, and the teams that beat them in that stretch don't owe any apology, nor do their fans.
Has anyone, outside of maybe kingspeed, called the Blazers a great team? All I said was this one win was more about them being with him vs. the Blazers being a great team (they were 42-40 in case you dont remember).
Sabonis playing on half a leg. Dame injured last time we were in WCF, playing but not full strength.Enes Kanter with a broken collarbone replacing a broken Nurk in the playoffs is one
You are too new to realize who you are replying to I think.Ok guy. I mean, those are Finals teams but sure. Nobody is unhappy they won. I am just saying pump the brakes a bit on the win vs the wemby-less Spurs. Its not an indication of a suddenly great Portland team. No one thinks we are winning a title
