Glad that godawful stupid penalty didn't cost Seahawks their season. Celebrate when the game is over.

the last time Minnesota went deep in the playoffs was when they absolutely stole one from my Saints
 
I find it interesting that Seahawk fans up in Seattle seem to be OK with Jody. Yet Blazer fans down here seem to not be a fan of her. I was looking at a Reddit thread about who would raise the 12th Man flag before the game yesterday and the majority wanted it to be Jody, because it's been a tradition, Paul did it for the previous NFC Championship home games. Hardly anyone was talking trash about her. Which is great IMO.

The NFL has a strict salary cap so it doesn't really matter how thrifty or lavish owners are.
 
Thanks to Bo Jackson making me a Raiders fan back in the day, I've always despised the Seachickens. Never liked them or the fans that couldn't come up with their own schtick so they just took it from Texas A&M. Maybe it's because they don't have Cheatin' Pete, Fake Ass Russ or Clown Sherman any more and are easier to root for, maybe it's because against all my efforts my nephew took them on as his favorite team or maybe it's because I just don't care nearly as much any more but this Seattle team isn't nearly as easy to hate as teams in the past. Still don't like them and can't bring myself to root for them but they are going to win it all again.

Does feel like a weird year in the NFL, there are no great teams, just a few good, mostly mediocre and some really bad. Teams like NE, Den, Chicago that seemed to be a year ahead of where they are supposed to be, then LAR and Seattle that are good but not great, and the old guard QBs that were killed with injuries to their teams. Overall a transition year but not one that many fans outside of Seattle or NE fans will ever really think back on, will almost become a forgotten type of title.

Fellow Raiders fan! I have some bad news. I also loved Bo Jackson and remember going crazy over pulling his cards out of packs as a kid. Things i've seen of Bo lately makes him seem like an angry, unfriendly man that is not sociable at all. It is sad to hear because he is one of the greatest athletes of all time and was a role model for kids.

I also don't like the Seahawks, but I don't like Seattle teams or the city in general. When I went up there as a kid to watch Raiders games with my dad, they weren't very friendly to me wearing Raiders gear. Over time, I also have just not cared because they no longer are in our conference and I don't like the 49ers. So, it is nice to see them beat the niners from time to time.

Another annoyance is the niners and Seahwaks almost always seem to air on local TV in Oregon. The Chargers have been on more lately too. Not sure if that has to do with being in LA or Herbert.

I remember being a kid and the Raiders were often shown on local TV. Sucks there is that change.

The Raiders have been irrelevant and a shit show for years. Only 2 winning seasons (and playoffs) since 2002.
Your owner absolutely sucks, one of the worst in the NFL.
Your team should have a U-Haul logo on their helmets... moved from Oakland to LA, back to Oakland, now in Vegas.

Yeah, we know. I actually prefer Vegas over LA or Oakland. So thats a plus.

But making fun of Raiders fan is like beating up someone that has gone through a hard life. Similar to a Ducks fan punching down at a Beavers fan. We know our team has sucked. But, we are loyal and they are our team. We do have Brady now, so there is hope he turns things around. He seems stubborn enough to do so.

Yes. A 10 year old kid shouldn't get berated by drunk assholes and chest bumped because he is merely wearing gear from his favorite team.

I've never been to a game at the Raiders home field. But kids shouldn't get berated at games.

I grew up a Cardinals fan going to Wrigley. Heard plenty of choice words hurled my way from drunks in the bleachers as an 8 year old. Of course, the Cubs always sucked, and Cardinals were generally better, so I didn't care. But it's pretty pathetic to yell at a kid. Or really any fan just there to see their team play

I haven't seen anything on him lately that would say that but I don't go seeking it out either I guess. He always seemed like a guy that wanted to be a homebody and out of the spotlight once his playing days were over, the guy is an Alabama country kid at heart that wants to fish and hunt.

As for the Seachickens I went up to a handful of games in Seattle (dad was a 49er fan so didn't get to Raider games until I was old enough to go with friends on our own), especially the ones where they were at that eyesore on the lake and Seattle fans didn't like us too much. I always said as a Raider fan, if you don't love us, you should hate us! Of course this was before two decades of ineptitude left pretty much everyone just feeling pity on the franchise and it's fans.

Yea the Raiders have sucked for two decades but sadly he isn't even close to being the worst owner in the sport, that easily goes to the Browns with the Bengals and Cardinals not far behind for being total cheapskates even if they've lucked into a little more success on the field. And yes I'll keep talking shit about seattle because that's what sports fans do!
