Since we have a Wire and HBO thread, I figure I'd start one of Fox and FX (start whatever channel you want)

Some of the shows:
-24
-House
-Prison Break
-Bones

My all-time favorite show is 24. Just love it.

I'm not a fan of House, Prison Break, or Bones.

Feel free to discuss.

I never got into 24 or Prison Break or anything but I do like House. Also, Family Guy and Simpsons are always great.

Everyone raves about House, but the actor Hugh Laurie (spelled wrong, I think) just turns me off from the show. I know his character is supposed to be obnoxious, but I think he's too over the top.

I completely forgot about Family Guy and Simpsons. BTW, the Simpsons movie looks hilarious from the two trailers I've seen.

Prison Break - I can't get into watching people in prison, I don't care how good the storyline is. Prison is depressing.

24 - cheesy acting imo. I don't really believe any of it. It's good television, but it would never fly on the big screen it would be laughable. Even though Kiefer is a decent actor overall.

House - you're right Hugh Laurie's character is pretty overdone. Like does he ever not give a sarcastic remark? But as an actor I love to watch him cause he's a real actor's actor. The guy is actually English and it's a trip watching him.

P.S. Best acting on TV - The Wire...

I'm addicted to 24, and I mean addicted. Its one of the few shows that I watch religiously. I just finished 24 Season 3 last night and can't wait for the new season to start in a little over two weeks.

Same, man. One time last year I watched the whole seasons of 2 & 3 non stop. Even though I know the outcome I cant not watch it.

Kiefer Sutherland is one sick ass actor. And Jack Bauer the character > Anything else in Mankind.

I'm also a huge fan of Prison Break. Love Family Guy and just recently started watching House.

You know what's funny, I used to think the same exact thing about 24, but now I'm probably more hooked than anybody on this board. I respect your opinion though. Can I ask you a question, have you tried watching it?

Maybe I was wrong about Prison Break, I might consider downloading the first season.

Can someone tell me if it's good?

It's amazing. It's just not about a guy breaking out of prison. The whole plot is revolved around the government covering up a murder with relations to "the company". The vice-president (who becomes president) is also corrupted (similar to last season in 24, though not terrorist related). You should definitely give it a shot.

Better than 24?

Btw, Season 6 of 24 looks absolutely amazing. I saw another preview for it.

I got hooked on 24 in the last season and immediately went out and brought all 4 previous seasons.

I love the show.

IT is really the only show I watch on TV anymore.

1a and 1b for me (with 24 being 1a)

Kind of like back in the day when people were debating who's the better player KG or Duncan; it was really close and debatable.

I'm pumped for the four hour special of 24 in two weeks. I love Jack Bauer.

Who doesn't? He's a man's man. Every guy has dreams of being like him.

I've actually became hooked on House this season. Not sure why, I always found the show to be boring....being every show tends to follow the same pattern.

I've started to watch some old 24 episodes, not sure if I'll catch on to the new season yet though...

House definitely is very predictable, but something about it just makes it enjoyable for me. Even though the character Greg House is overdone, it's done in a funny/intriguing way. You know he's going to own people and push things as far as he can, the fact that he's a sarcastic asshole is equaled by his brilliance as a doctor.

It's interesting for me to see them go through the steps it takes to diagnose the patient and treat them. The writers must have alot of medical knowledge to have them go through so many different scenarios.

torrent me up for that for sure.

I ain't waiting until mid June to see it.

I've just started watch House of late, and I was wondering what happened in the next episode after House got pulled over by the cop who thinks he's bully, and booked him for unprescribed drugs.

After watching the first four episodes of Prison Break, it's pretty good. I wouldn't put it on par with 24, Resuce Me, the Wire, or the Shield, though. The only thing that nags at me is sometimes the actor who plays Michael, is overly-dramatic. He's not the greatest actor, but I can look past that.

24 is my favorite show right now, been hooked since season 1, can't wait for season 6. Started watching it sometime last year and went through 5 seasons pretty quickly.

Prison Break is probably my second favorite show. Great show.

I stated watching House last season but I got tired of it.. The show gets old pretty quickly because the same thing happens in every episode. House pushes the envelope in every episode, everyone thinks he is crazy and then he ends up being right.

That's the thing about House. How do they keep it creative? It always seems like some illness from Mars attacks a human, and House is the only person who can solve it? I can suspend my beliefs, but for me, House just pushes the limit.

Is it a funny show, at least?

Depends are your sense of humor. If you like sarcastic humor than you might like the show.

It can be pretty funny at times, but I still can't keep myself interested in the show.

Well I have watched 5 episodes, and the show is retarded. Bad storyline...and Jack Bauer is so lame. What a waste of money!

Nah, I'm just kidding. The show is good and Bauer is a badass. However Prison Break, still has a slight edge over "24".

BTW, is season 2 better than 1? The storyline for season 2 looks more exciting.

I think Season 2 is one of the best, actually the second best. It's a great season.

Ok, I'm freakin hooked. I've watched 10 episodes today because I've been laying in bed sick, incredibly suspenseful. Great show.

That T-bag character is amazing.

Great show indeed. I'm a big fan of T-Bag too, but he's so gay.....

Let me know when your done with season 1. I can hook you up with the first 13 episodes of season 2....for free.

I got the first 13, thanks anyways. I love illegal downloads and they're even on myspace.

No homo on this. I love T-bag. He's such a great character, the actor who plays him really creeps me out, which means he's doing his job. Simply amazing, charismatic character.

T-bag is classic. He's one of those TV characters that can never be reproduced ala Chuck Norris, Jack Bauer, and such.
