Lets hope. He might not be smart enough to play though. He didn't play any college ball.

-Simons blossomed into one of the top 10 prep prospects in the country and committed to Louisville. But after the school became a target of the FBI's probe into college basketball corruption, Simons backed off his pledge and decided to turn professional instead.

The "One and Done...Done?" thread ended 3 days ago. I was going to reawaken it, but I see that it got distracted into politics. So we need a new debate about keeping a year of college mandatory. I'm in favor of it.

A high school draftee needs to be big for his position, or else he'll be a long-term project.

When we drafted Telfair, I was shocked because he was the smallest high schooler I'd ever seen drafted. Simons is 6-3 (slightly smaller than average for a PG, a shrimp for a SG) and weighed 181 (a diminutive Tom Thumb at either guard position) when last measured.

I bet we will. No trades and 1 MLE signing.
I don't see Ed Davis, Pat Connaughton or Bazz coming back...those positions will be filled...we'll field a different rotation next season...probably see a lot more Meyers and Pappa G next season off the bench

It’s more likely we use the TPE than signing someone with the MLE. The latter is the players choice

Simons is 6-4, which is definitely above average for a PG, and wingspan matters.

Read that Simons is a sponge. I likenthe idea of Dame and CJ mentoring him offensively.

Seeing more of Meyers and Pappa G would be a disaster.
all I said was it would be different next season...not better...and I should add that playing Meyers early he'd have a tiny window before the mid season trade dealine to build some trade value...Papa G is out there to use his fouls when Nurk or Zach are in foul trouble

Like sponge Bob? pffft I have zero respect for a first round pick that has faced boys and girls club talent...top ten or what ever projected..that means squat till you up your game

A good place to take a gamble, the 24th pick. It probably means that they expect Bazz to be too expensive and go elsewhere.

I didn't know he never went to college.

Look at him! He's practically a child.

I hate Neil Olshey so, so much. So much.
