OT 2K19

They have Meyers Leonard as better than Zach... they have Baldwin’s perimeter defense as a D+ (same as C.J.).

They really think the Blazers are hot garbage that’s what I’m getting out of that. 3rd highest overall is Nurkic at 79. If those are anywhere close to accurate (doubt it) the Blazers will be a pretty bad team this year.

had the first 2k for dreamcast. revolutionary player creator for the time, i created myself and my friends and we would sit around and get stoned and watch the computer play. fun stuff!

Ditto.

Dreamcast wow. Brings back memories. I did that too. Also, and I have shared this, I would inbound and take a three from the far side of the court and hit it at the buzzer to win the game. My friend Bryan thinking he had won was so pissed.

IGN still has not reviewed this NBA2K19 but they gave NBALive 19 a sore of 7.9? If your a 2K fan that can't be very good.

i dont ever play the myplayer shiz, but who got that cakewalk VC hustle? i aint trying to grind all night unless im up in the club.

It’s noticeably improved, especially the motions. It has also become considerably slower and ball isn’t glued to the player nearly as much.

Liking it so far. Still trying to figure out who to choose for a long term development in MyLeague (I want a team from the East preferably).

Difficulty has gone up considerably. If you look at the sliders then the Superstar from last year is basically All-Star this year.

Shooting is truly sweet, much smoother and feels natural to shoot from behind the screen. Dame and CJ are lethal for that reason but I have still gone 0-2 because I lost focus against Phoenix and got annihilated in defense by Indiana. I am looking to make some moves to get better, or maybe I will start over again to build the roster I want to take forward.

Doing either Philadelphia with small manual adjustments to Simmons (improved mid range as he is believed to have practiced that heavily but it’s not reflected in the game yet) and Fultz (shooting, he won’t be a terrible shooter this year) or Boston as my second save. Maybe even both.

The My Career is WAY better. VC is still around tho...

But for grinders outs much easier to earn and badges are easier to grind for. The game is overall WAY faster. Less loading and cut scenes can be skipped.

I'm loving this gameplay.

Good to hear.

My MyCareer player I had last time was a SF. I wanted to play for the blazers and had to pick a position of need.

This season is different. I made a Shot Creating Playmaker PG.

I play for new Orleans. I might force a trade to Philly lol.

This game is the shit!

I’ve always played PG and forced myself to the Blazers most years since Dames been around they’ve moved him or my player to SG. This year if I get 2k (looking likely) gonna go with SF and replace Moe.

First off, buy the game... I mean, really?

Second, there are lots of build suggestions on YouTube.

My guy can BALL. His D is only ok though. Guarding the CPU on HOF is crazy

I’ve been raining 3s with my sf. Short arms, but whatevz

Is the voice acting for the 'my player' better?

I'm gonna pick this up based on your recommendation, the steam reviews (pc) are really bad though.

I’ve picked up Dallas as my rebuild project. Very good foundation with Doncic and Smith and they are actually not hopeless to play with in first season either with Barnes, Matthews, Jordan and Dirk.

Milwaukee, Utah and Philadelphia as my other three saves but I will focus on Dallas for now. Of course I also got a Blazers save to play which was the first I did but I usually like to interchange between several teams to not get bored.

The only small issue I have is with the graphics - it’s too bright, especially white players are al too pale and colors are too saturized. I thought it was TV but regardless of settings it looks like this.

Did anyone try the GM story mode? It was like 1000 lines of text every convo, and asking me if I moved a team to Seattle or someshit. 0/10.

It's funny how the simulation consistently has the Blazers below .500. Idiots over there at 2K man... rediculous.

That shit is boring. I'd rather just be the Player/Coach/GM/Owner.

I play MyCareer and MyLeague.

But there are so many ways to play this game.

Thinking of picking this up. How's this game if you want to play a realistic simulation type game?
Tried 2k16 briefly - it was ok - have the newer 2k games improved the basketball simulation aspects or is it just all about the flashy dunks and presentation?

(If so might have to rip out my Bulls vs Blazers cartridge and have a session on that instead)

I will pick this up tonight or tomorrow but from what I’ve gathered NBA Live is more on the flashy / presentation and cool dunks vibe. 2k this year is the better “sim” type game.
Dviss seems to really be a fan (not trying to put words in his mouth) but his posts on here have been pretty positive about this years 2k, which is a big reason why I’m going to pick it up.

Can you trade Dirk and Doncic for Meyers?

It's the best basketball SIM hands down.
