1. Frank loves playing small lineups.
He has absolutely no love for the traditional set of players on the floor. As another poster put it, he's mini Don Nelson. The problem is that when Nelson does this he knows his team's job is to run the other team off the floor and has ample shooters on the team to accomplish this offensive style. However Frank does not.

2.The team needs shooters.
Ager maybe? Nuff said.

3.This team does not deserve to be in the playoffs.
Please for the love of it all and so that i keep my sanity, take the lottery balls already. The team is inconsistent as all hell. We can be a good team again next year. Time to take the rest of the season off.

agreed on all three fronts. add in perimeter defender to that list as well.

small lineups only work if you have shooters or guys who can take people off the dribble. right now, our shooters are to inconsistent, more then a consistent outside threat should be and we don't have guys who can take other players off the dribble at the bigger positions, like PF.

and to sum it up... the team has no IDENTITY... NONE... ZIP... ZERO!

How so? Is this in reference to the Nets or big men around the league in general?

Add one other thing: while are bigs are getting better, we still have no one that commands a double team on the blocks (except maybe Vince if he's hot). Therefore we are always working from the outside in (pick and rolls, drive and kicks), rather that from the inside out, which often leads to long cold spells. For evidence of this, look no further than the 4th quarter meltdowns against Philly, Memphis and Denver recently.
