A group of knife-wielding men attacked a train station in southwestern China on Saturday, killing at least 29 people and injuring more than 130 others in what Chinese officials called a terrorist strike, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Four of the attackers were also shot dead and only one was captured alive after the mayhem, which broke out about 9 p.m. (8 a.m. ET) at the Kunming Railway Station in the capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Yang Haifei, a resident of Yunnan, told Xinhua that he was attacked and sustained injuries on his chest and back.

Yang said he was buying a ticket when he saw a group rush into the station, most of them dressed in black, and started stabbing people.

"I saw a person come straight at me with a long knife, and I ran away with everyone," he said, adding that people who were slower were severely injured.

"They just fell on the ground," he added.

Knifes don't kill people... soft sliceable flesh kills people.

You think that's bad, you should see what stray dogs can do, roaming the night with a bloodlust never stripped from their carnal desires. That's why they eat them.

I read this on CNN, and every time they mentioned the "terrorists" they put them in quotations like that, it was kind of an odd editorial

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

This proves that we should increase our debt a couple of trillion to fight Confucianists.

Civilians are not allowed to own guns in China.
The thing about knives is you don't need to reload.

Japan stabbing attack leaves at least 1 dead, 19 hurt; suspect dead, reports say

By Samuel Chamberlain | Fox News

TOKYO – A knife-wielding man attacked commuters -- including schoolchildren -- waiting at a suburban Tokyo bus stop during the morning rush hour Tuesday, killing at least one person and wounding at least 19 others before he killed himself, Japanese police and media said.

Japan's NHK national television, citing local police, said the wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals, but one child and one adult were "without vital signs." However, an official with the Kawasaki fire department said one person was believed killed. The discrepancy could not immediately be reconciled.

Officials told NHK the suspect, believed to be in his 40s or 50s, attacked people near Noborito Park in a residential area of Kawasaki City. The report added that a bus driver told officials that the suspect walked toward the bus, holding a knife in each hand and slashing at children. Another witness told the broadcaster that the suspect tried to force his way onto the bus.

The number of wounded reportedly included 13 children. Television footage showed emergency workers giving first aid to people inside a tent set up on the street, and police and other officials carrying the wounded to ambulances.

NHK also reported that the suspect stabbed himself fatally in the neck. However, police did not immediately confirm the report publicly.

Police found two knives at the scene of the crime. A motive for the attack was not immediately clear.

Although Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, it has had a series of high-profile killings, including in 2016 when a former employee at a home for the disabled was accused of going on a stabbing spree that killed 19 and wounded more than 20 others.

In 2008, seven people were killed by a man who slammed a truck into a crowd of people in central Tokyo's Akihabara electronics district and then went on a stabbing rampage.

In 2001, a man killed eight children and wounded 13 others in a knife attack at an elementary school in the city of Osaka. The stunning attack ultimately led to increased security at many schools.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Dang! I had a feature of A Data Base manager developed at the Kawasaki Lab. Not far from that park. There sure isn't much of a residential district in Kawasaki. The guys on my project lived a 100 or more Kilometer away. During the week they rented cubicles to sleep in, sort of like over sized lockers you use to find in the Greyhound bus stations. Damn! I don't know how they lived that way!

The only way to stop a bad guy with a knife is a good guy with a machete.

A 20 oz Bill club works pretty well, it seems to focus attention. But I have to admit, I prefer a .38.

It is sick shit. Everyone is human. This is like a barbarian attack from the Vandals upon Rome.
