#4 on that list is Alexei Ramirez to the Yankees, Shane Greene to the White Sox

I wont trade Greene for Ramirez. I like Ramirez but I don't like giving up this young pitcher who has shown good poise and command of more than one pitch.
Greene has a very fair chance to become a solid/good inexpensive starter.
Ramirez will probably be gone after 2016.

I don't get why people think that the M's will trade their penciled-in 3rd and/or 4th starters with 5 years of team control left for a guy who isn't an absolute stud fit for the team. Upton might have been last year, when we didn't know what Walker could be (sustained) and we'd get 4 years or so on an extension. Cespedes? He's not a good fit.

Now, Tulowitzki? Sure. Stanton? Sure...empty the farm. Upton? Maybe. Cespedes? can't hit in Safeco? To use your term, "No thank you." :)

...I never drank the Cespedes kool-aide. Plus, he's only under contract for ONE year.

I would not trade Greene either, kid showed plenty of sack last season. I would give him a lot of infield practice getting the ball to the first baseman, Ramirez is OK but but he's creeping in on the wrong side of 30.

Keep Greene, he's Tanaka/Nova insurance.

I like Greene but we need Rameriz. Its either him or settle on Drew. MaCarthy could take Greene's spot & Nova is not expected back until mid to end of May.

Cespedes is below average as an overall hitter, but I love his cannon arm.

A couple of notes on Yoenis, is: he Hits .303 with RISP...

He hits .293 when his Team wins
only .213 when Team Loses

hits only .245 when leading off an inning...

Hits .374 at first pitch swings...

Otherwise he's more sub-par of a inconsistent hitter...

^^^yup...he's nowhere near the offensive monster that some people perceive him to be.

No one can replace Jeter, so for the Yankees to honestly try is somewhat insulting... that being said, if you are going to, do so with Tulo...

I'm thinking realistically, and Tulo is just not going to happen.

It probably won't happen, yet one can't deny anything is possible in this racket, I mean game....!!!

I wan't Tulo..........even if its in my dreams, man Troy would be flipping incredible in The Bronx, I can envision his vacum cleaner style, and hitting too....! Ok, I'm gonna' pray for Tulo....!

And with the Yankees luck he'd break his leg in SP.

I agree, Tulo is a extremely unlikely scenario... that being said, I would trade unless it were for him... otherwise, go for a FA this year. deal with it for a year or two... then go, because if you go for a top 2-5 SS, the pressure is going to be so huge on him, that he will NEVER succeed... so take the pressure of a kid, let him exceed expectations rather than fail to meet them...

That is my opinion and I'm sticking to it

I've always played the outfield & some 1st base so I don't know how much it would take or how long to convert a 2nd baseman to a SS. But if its not really a long process maybe between now & SP they should have this kid Rhysnyder work out at SS & leave Prado at 2nd base. Or, since he's already played 3rd base maybe even Prado could work out at short & put the kid at 2nd base. It would sure as hell save the team a lot of money.
