I'd imagine, quit a bit of FLA Orange Crop/Orchard's are going to suffer....?? I recall more than few times over the last 50 yrs, in which FLA lost up to 30%+ of it's OJ crop/yields.....

Are they saying much the same this yr Michael....?

Florida expects the smallest citrus crop due mostly to our girl hurricane Irma. No doubt that current weather conditions here could add insult to injury.

those were nasty, effecting numerous states, massive miles of endless lands, both agricultural, and civilization destroyed.

just to think a month ago it was hotter than hell here. T/largest fire in Ca history, first in No. Cal, destroying record amounts of Winery Grape Orchards, and 10K homes. To So Cal's massive Orange Grove losses, 428 square miles, 250K acres of citrus orchards, forests, and another 10K homes. Nothing like the hurricane losses.

OJ/citrus, and Wine will go thru the roof come this new year...

One thing always got under my skin. Leaving pets out in freezing weather.

Xmas Holidays at 10 yrs old, spent in Wichita's state wide Blizzard. I spent t/night at my Aunt & Uncle's. My Uncle the fkng drunk, had 2 German Shorthair (pointers), tied to a light pole in his backyard. White out, ice below a foot of snow. I begged the fkr 'til midnight, to please bring in those dogs, at least into his garage, (which may of not made much of a difference), until he went to bed/passed out. I even took my blanket out, covered 'em both up. A long night, I woke around 5am, to the howls of one dog, crying over the other, which was frozen solid. I wen't and woke the fkr up, told him told you so....fkng idiot, wish I were big enough to tie his ass up to that pole....

...they are forecasting for the winter storm that's here now will move up the East Coast and will hammer the NYC area on Friday.

Bay News 9 reporting snow in Tallahassee. Meanwhile here in Tampa it is 44 and pouring down rain. My dog had a Vet appointment this AM, got her down there without getting too wet. I really feel for those up north right now, went through a few of those winters and blizzards myself.

Me and my Husband went to the Supermarket and these Animals bought all the Water, Bread and Milk. They act like we never had a Snowstorm before and that they won't be able to get out for a week.

thYYV5559U.jpg This means the two of you bought Beer, Pizzelle wafers and condensed milk cans. You could have scored an extra grocery bag after a parking lot mugging of a dude wearing a Mets hat. lol

...hell no...and Annie is still pissed off about it...she wanted snow !

^^^^^ lol, I can just hear it-

Kim would of said the same thing..... the Maine-iac she is- (or was)... even tho: Kim, the only women I know who being a Maine-iac now wears a sweater in 100 degree summer heat, a coat in 60-70. But in her defense, she's grown beyond her years...age has caught up with her. A Maine Freeze would kill us both...

first time I ever heard of a Cyclone Blizzard bomb as as a kid was in KS. I found it comforting to meet my Wife, who more than knew 1st hand growing up in Maine what one was....

P.S. that means all her relatives were/are fkng Bosox Fans.
My response to die hard Bosox Family members: "Being a lifetime Yankee Fan, you need to know I'm much more respectful of your fkng team. Yeah I despise your Bosox, but I've much more a true fan, as I pay some respect to the Bosox every time I go camping; and pull my porta-potty out, a Bosox Hat in case of Emergency.... not shit, pun intended, rather a hat full of it, head too...:craphead:

:smiley-frozen:
stay warm y'all, and keep each other warm,:smiley-frozen:
the only benefit of the west coast this time of yr, the only benny, a 7 day forecast of upper 60s, or low 70's during the day, watching the rest of the nation freeze, low evenings 39-42 deg's. With the metal in my back and shoulder, I'd become a fkng popsicle. Needless to say, since I lost 1/2 a kidney, I can't take the chill below 50, and once thrived on sub-freezing weather, not sure why? Gott'a be an age thing??? :oldman:

Shark Tank turned down my numerous propositions. No, I'm not the Jonah Falcon of invention:
  • Bosox Port'a Potty
  • Cirque Fittings for Peeps w/Back, Hips, and Joint(s) Problems, a bit of grease in the joints....
  • Hover Boots, Hover Walker and Wheelchairs
  • Battery Operated Testicle Warmer
  • My Anal Cavity (or other) Electric Probe Warmer
  • now they've turned down my infamous Piss Wick
all great stocking stuffers btw-

all these inventions necessary for freezing weather, or old people....

Here we go.........just started snowing in New York and I'm cooking Baked Ziti.

a great time for baking, or keeping the oven going....
hot toddies, snuggling, or streaking down the Blvd, just to adjust to the cold, get a bit used to it, lol....

^^^^ :rotfl: and forgot the large can of Vaseline... the dude mugging w/t Mets hat only netted, extra small mini-condoms, a Star and People Magazine great for burning to keep warm, a box of Trix, some gummies, and more Vaseline....NO Cheetos!!!

don't forget the pack of Marlboro's, a full tank of gas, one whole chicken and one order of dry white toast.... no wait, that's in Chicago....

It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses, and that was 4 Fried Chickens not one

36 degrees here in the Tampa Bay area his AM. Thank God even the Beagle wanted no part of a walk. . That cup of coffee will taste better this AM than most.

You might want to make the Beagle a cup of hot coffee, with a bit of half and half. Anti freeze for him, cuz when he goes to piss this morning you may leave a solid ice cube from himself to the tree or bush... That's downright cold for FLA...~!!~

Streaking???

Yes Life the movie Old School...

It's a dated Animal House toga party drunk Fest throwback thing... You may be a bit too young for the vices of Prior Generations...

Normally the Beagle is on my butt like white on rice to go for her walk. Not today, I let her out, she did her thing and scooted right back in. Normally I'm pretty active but since this cold snap started I've been a dull boy. Spent most of the day yesterday watching TCM Classics, Godzilla, Rodan, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, nd one of my all time favorite Sci-Fi flicks Forbidden Planet.
