I see. Personally, I find your name more funny than offensive, lol. I don't think it's a big enough deal to where you should change it.

I never did go to that 3 on 3 tourney. Kinda wish I had though.

As for me, I'm avoiding talking about my online life if it ever comes up with my employer. "Twitter? Facebook? What's that?"

I hardly ever use my Twitter account (Twitter is such a madhouse anyways....), and I don't have a Facebook account. But there are other things online that aren't their business anyways, nor does it effect my work performance. So they can fuck right off and like it. I'll set up a separate email account from my personal email if it ever becomes an issue. That way, it's not connected to anything else I do online.

Ha I wish it was that easy. I unfortunately don't have the ability to tell someone to fuck off. One bad experience leads to five potential clientele loss.
I've told friends of mine they need to change their facebook picture for the job they're applying to. As I wouldn't hire them with a picture like that.
Unfortunately in all aspects of life appearances matter more than if you can do the job well or not. It's this way for all people.

Would've been cool to see you there.
I'm hopeful my rib won't be dislocated next year so I can actually jump and don't have an ugly ass form due to it next year.

As a minority, I absolutely LOVE his name. He has embraced who he is. More on here should do the same.

To me, I'm just happy letting people think this is the reasoning behind my username.
Less explaining the better, cause really it's nobodys business as to why I was given this name as a kid.

Good movie, I remember it being kinda revenge porn but I still liked it.

Stupid people were mad because it said the n-word so many times, like it was supposed to teach us something historical. That movie was not supposed to teach us anything that we didn't already know. It was a save the princess story just like Super Mario. That's it and that's all.

This is top notch investigative journalism.

Remind me never to visit that forum again. Wow...

I love the racism here on GlockTalk. Best just to get it out in the open, lmao.

And just a heads up: feel free to call me a b****r or a s**c."

What are those starred out words? I can't figure them out.

Didn't go read it but if the racism is out in the open I wonder what kind of thought they hide.

I've never seen it. I seriously need to though; I hear it's a great movie.

Congrats @Jade Falcon.

But, only 6K? What, you got some type of life or something? You mean you don't live in your mom's den like the rest of us?

No, even better: I live alone with a giant black cat. :biglaugh:

.....yeah, that sounded a little bad in hindsight. :banghead2::unsure: The thread itself had dissolved into a few people being racist (which is why the thread got locked), and I was making a dry-sarcasm remark in regards to how open the racism was. As if to say "hey assholes, if you're gonna be so open about it, then hey....why don't you call me a spic and beaner. You obviously seem proud of it." That was my original "point" to the comment I made.

Obviously, no, it wasn't funny, and I accept responsibility for it. I apologize if that offended anyone. I don't think racism is funny at all. The comment itself wasn't meant to be. But I can understand why you would see that. I could have said something better; chosen my words more appropriately.

Unfortunately, GT has it's share of racists. It got to the point where the Administrators had to post a sticky added to the rules at the top of the forum about it. They're right up there with the alt-right conspiracy nutjobs. And thankfully, only a couple clowns on there are that bad.

You don't even want to know how bad the conspiracies got after the Las Vegas shooting......:smiley-neznam::smiley-nope::crazy:

Context is a MF ain't it?

No, actually racism is hilarious and should be made fun of and joked about.

I predict that when it becomes a joke, it'll final go away.

Definitely. Sometimes, the sarcasm is implied, and other times you say "and I was being sarcastic with that."

This was implied sarcasm. I wasn't condoning it, it was just a poor use of sarcasm on my part.

No excuses; I accept responsibility for it. Definitely could have chosen my words better.

......now I'm assuming this is sarcasm?

I may be a dumbass, but even my stupidity has its limits. :bgrin:

This marks post number 6,000 for me, all in just shy of 3 years. It just made me pause and reflect.

I'm so glad I found this forum. I've met some great people on here, and two of you in person (@SlyPokerDog and @Orion Bailey). I've had a blast doing it, and I hope to have many more years on here to come.

I haven't always gotten along with everyone, but I've enjoyed all of it nevertheless. If we couldn't yell, swear, and cuss at each other online, then this forum would be pretty boring. I have no regrets at all, but I can say that I've learned quite a few things in those 3 years. I've had to relearn how to take it on the chin, when to shut up, when to let something go, and when to step away. I've even had to step away from the OT and stick to the main sports forum to keep my blood pressure down, lol.

But at the same time, I've very much enjoyed celebrating this great team with all of you, and that is the main thing that keeps me coming back. Because even though we may disagree politically or socially, at least we still have the Portland Trail Blazers. And I LOVE this team! I'm a fan for life.

And I love this forum, and all of you. For better or worse.

I hope you'll continue to have me here, and I hope to meet more of you in person as time goes on.

That was cool
