This marks post number 6,000 for me, all in just shy of 3 years. It just made me pause and reflect.

I'm so glad I found this forum. I've met some great people on here, and two of you in person (@SlyPokerDog and @Orion Bailey). I've had a blast doing it, and I hope to have many more years on here to come.

I haven't always gotten along with everyone, but I've enjoyed all of it nevertheless. If we couldn't yell, swear, and cuss at each other online, then this forum would be pretty boring. I have no regrets at all, but I can say that I've learned quite a few things in those 3 years. I've had to relearn how to take it on the chin, when to shut up, when to let something go, and when to step away. I've even had to step away from the OT and stick to the main sports forum to keep my blood pressure down, lol.

But at the same time, I've very much enjoyed celebrating this great team with all of you, and that is the main thing that keeps me coming back. Because even though we may disagree politically or socially, at least we still have the Portland Trail Blazers. And I LOVE this team! I'm a fan for life.

And I love this forum, and all of you. For better or worse.

I hope you'll continue to have me here, and I hope to meet more of you in person as time goes on.

Thats awesome man. I post like crazy on here too...have 11,000+ posts in 2 and a half years...i need to get a life. But, seriously I don't know what I would do without this forum. I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!

LOL. If I did, I'm sorry. The only other forum I'm a member of (actively) is GlockTalk. Pretty sure nobody else here is a member there....but hey.....I could be wrong.

Personally, I'm still not convinced that he's a real person. I still maintain that he's a ghost. Or a spiritual anomaly of some sort.

I'm a member of RipCityTwo, which is a forum for Portland Trail Blazer fans. One of our members there is named "HonkiCracker". He gets SO much shnit from the Liberals on that forum....of which there are quite a few, and they are a plague upon the decency of that board.

It was far worse when I first joined this forum.
Then it spiked again during the Donald Sterling stuff.
Most of the posters who took issues with it are no longer part of the forum. These people were pretty negative/combative in general.

Denny tried to draw Dviss and I into an argument once but neither of us took the bait.(I think this is what you're talking about)
Now afaik the big issue with it is that I'm allowed to use it at all. Not because they're offended, but because certain people cite it as a reason why they should be allowed to use or say offensive things.

I've been meaning to change it.(reason why I discovered your post in the first place, as I was closing down certain accounts I created when I was 16/17/18)
As certain accounts had my actual name attached to them. I've found it's counter productive when someone hires you for x, but you spend more time talking about a username than what you were actually hired to help them with. However this account doesn't have any personal information attached to it. & I've only shared a personal email with Bob Dobalina because he's a pretty cool dude.
(Oh I guess the people who participated in the 3 on 3 tourney + sly/denny would prolly know personal information of mine. At least my name/email)

I see. Personally, I find your name more funny than offensive, lol. I don't think it's a big enough deal to where you should change it.

I never did go to that 3 on 3 tourney. Kinda wish I had though.

As for me, I'm avoiding talking about my online life if it ever comes up with my employer. "Twitter? Facebook? What's that?"

I hardly ever use my Twitter account (Twitter is such a madhouse anyways....), and I don't have a Facebook account. But there are other things online that aren't their business anyways, nor does it effect my work performance. So they can fuck right off and like it. I'll set up a separate email account from my personal email if it ever becomes an issue. That way, it's not connected to anything else I do online.

Gotta go folks. Got a doctor's appointment about my blood pressure and other shit. Apparently, HCP isn't the only fat white guy on this forum. :bgrin:
