Hey, that's what I call my fishing buddies when they catch bigger ormore fish than me.
One time I snagged my hook and as I was trying to free it when suddenly it came loose and bait and weight came flying out of the water and directly at me. It hit me square in the hoo haw. My two buddies were rolling on the floor of the boat laughing their asses off. I think they had too many beers. Well then I think a sailor would have been proud of the language that came out of my mouth directed at them.
For God's sake don't let anyone else in here read this, Hoopguru, I don't want to hear the laughter in here, that's why I'm whispering.

I was pretty good at burning it in 50 gallon oil drums with the tops cut off. Pour a can full of diesel on top, and stir from a distance with a long piece of rebar with the end bent into a hook. Most disgusting job I ever had. Which reminds me "Fuck the Army" or aka FTA our favorite expression in those days.

Well, most of them lived underground. My Grandfather was one of them.

My Grandfather was with the Viet Minh (which fought the French), not the Viet Cong (which fought the U.S.). He was quite the figure with the Viet Minh. The stories my Mother told about him can be made for a movie. By the time the U.S. arrived in Vietnam, he was quite old and disillusioned with the Viet Cong.

I know the history....amazing country in my view...I'd love to go back and visit one day. Most folks here don't know the difference between the Viet Cong and Viet Minh.....
