I received this bad boy from my wife for Christmas. Just now getting the chance to figure it all out (bunch of cloudy evenings, hosting guests, etc.). It's a friggin amazing piece of technology, though.

OK, the reason a thread: Are any of you into astronomy? I'd love to connect with you and discuss the many things to view in the skies! This is a brand new hobby for me and SO much to learn!

Happy to go off-line with any of you who want to discuss this stuff.....

I, too, have Night Sky. Full version. I think that's what prompted my wife to splurge on the telescope.

I've got a much smaller one. Tried to buy a really nice one that would have connected to my lap top or desk top but can't remember why I didn't do it. I've been interested in the stars ever since 1955 when I was a little tot. My parents bought me two books one on our sun and the stars and one on the particles that make up the atom. I remember summer nights when my father would place the mattress in the back yard and point out the constellations and talk about space and the stars. My dad would ask how far away were the stars and what was beyond the furthest star.
