I would argue that if your intention wasn't to offend or hurt, no reason to apologize because that wasn't your intent. If you intend to hurt somebody well then that's an obvious thing, you apologize after. It's all about context and intent, if you constantly give passes to those offended by nothing, then it becomes okay and that just means those people will think they deserve an apology for everything they get "offended" by

Sometimes its best to just take the high road and apologize whether it was intentional or not. Sometimes it goes a long ways in the other entity understanding you. Sometimes without an apology, the misunderstanding continues.

I no longer want this misunderstanding to continue. Will I lose my humor? Hell no. Will I continue to direct my humor at people in a narcissistic, condescending way around here? Hell no.

If I am going to insult someone for comedy sake, it will only be people I know they know I am joking, or it will just be myself.

Really this mostly has to do with how long I chased HCP around here. Did I have any ill intent? No. Did I go way over board and let to go way too long? Yes. Many people over time have voiced their annoyance with it, and I dismissed it because I was having fun. That isn't fair to the forum.
