For the people who are upset about our X's and O's, please share your knowledge with us. It's easy to say our X's and O's are bad, but I would like to hear a better plan.
well, here's my better plan:
more motion offense.
more cutters when the ball goes into the post, less standing around.
more pure post ups for our bigs.
less pick and roll.
if they insist on a lot of pick and roll, run it with different players and from different spots on the floor.
on defense, more straight man to man.
less double teaming.
more pressing and trapping, especially full court. a 10 deep team can do that.
and beyond all this, just better ability to adjust on the fly. i agree with the other posters here that note that this staff is just slow to make adjustments.
we do not often get stops or buckets of our own out of timeouts. in short, while i love the talent on this team, i never watch them and go "wow, this in one well oiled machine." at this point in time, i say that's on coaching, Xs and Os and what's taught in practice, more than on the players.
