A go-to Inside player

Alexander has never been a go to low post scorer.

Never.

Ever.
This. Rebounding & Put-Back ability =/= Go to inside player.

Chris Kaman and Noah Vonleh are our two best bets for go to inside post scoring. Noah will take 2-3 seasons until he becomes a beast down low, but it will happen.

Guys all we need is a good low post scorer who to stretch the floor who sets good screens and protects the rim! Lol

The only 2 guys that fit that criteria? Anthony Davis and...

Al Horford

lol This thread is oozing with blind optimism and homerism. We are currently lacking starting level talent. Greg Monroe would be starting level talent. If you want to wait around until you find the perfect big man, you're going to be waiting a very long time. Who cares if he's been on two teams in two years, you can say the exact same about anyone who is on a new team this year. How about the fact that he's been in the league for 6 years and he's only been on two teams?

If it's a buy low opportunity, why not? He lacks defense, but so did Zach Randolph as well. The system and team defense can hide deficiencies.

I'd be willing to bet the Bucks aren't looking to give up on him so cheaply.

This made me thinking, it would be kind of nice if Z-B0 comes back to finish his career in Portland. Still one of the best inside scorers in the league

I want a C/F who can defend, rebound, throw an outlet, set a screen, catch the ball, and make a shot when the other team forgets to guard him. We don't need firepower from every position.
Yes, I think so; just a guy who could hit a 10 to 15 foot jumpshot consistently would keep things from getting clogged and require defensive attention all the time. I believe Leonard has made those shots on the very few occasions he takes them.

Vonleh is slowly but surely improving to the point where he should be playing more minutes.

And if needed be quick enough to cover the perimeter. Bigs in the NBA are evolving......

I do continue to be impressed with Plumlee's ability to score in the post. 5-5 last night against decent defenders in Cauley-Stein and Cousins. Add Vonleh's 5-7 and there is potential.

My bigger concern is SF where team are eventually going to leave Aminu wide open on the perimeter. His 3 pt shot drives me crazy. With Henderson playing so well as of late off the bench at SG, maybe we start Crabbe at SF and bring Aminu off the bench...

If we could combine Aminu's willingness to take a 3 point shot with Batum's ability to make a 3 point shot, we'd be set at SF.

I'm happy with his 3pt shot because 35% is a huge improvement for him. It's everything else that drives me crazy.

It is something about his delivery that makes me lose confidence that it is going in. He has an ugly outside shot. In Terry's offense, everyone seems to have the green light to shoot the 3 ball. During crucial parts of the game, I would really prefer if Aminu passed on taking them.

Last night Dame, CJ, and Crabbe were all on the floor with him and he took and missed a 3. I like that line up a lot, but I would prefer that he not be the one in that scenario taking the 24 footer.
