He obviously didn't put a whole lot of thought into this trade idea...............

Not to mention that the monies would be off by about $15M so the Mets would have to add more.
We don't have to be concerned because
this trade isn't happening, imo.
"Trashman" isnt trading Miller and he isn't breaking up this bullpen trio
unless he can get an established healthy young "all star" caliber SP....or possibly a young "star" position player.
Yanks might be better off if Chapman does get a 40-50 game suspension because it will cut his service time enough to prevent him from becoming a free agent until after the 2017 season.
Wheeler is good but not good enough and currently not healthy enough to surrender one of the very best (Miller) relief pitchers in MLB and Gardner.
John Harper isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. I've heard him in a couple of past interviews on WFAN.......he has pipe dreams.
Wheeler when healthy is good, not yet an "ace"....he's still "iffy".
He doesn't give up alot of hits, but he walks too many batters.
His health is still a question mark and there's certainly no guarantee he'll overcome his control problems....but he has shown to be a pretty darn good pitcher.
His last full season 2014:
32GS, allowed more than 4 ER in 4 starts. (6 R twice, 5 R twice)
Allowed 4 or less ER in 28 of his starts, allowed 3 or less in 24 starts.
Allowed 2 or less ER in 20 of his starts.
Pitched at least 6 innings in 22 of his starts.
He had one terrible start where he gave up 6 R in 2 IP....exclude that one start and he had a 3.30 ERA.
Not yet a "good enough" (imho) center piece to give up both Miller and Gardner.
As of now, it looks as if the Yanks can shut down ALOT of games after 5 or 6 innings if needed.
