I was avoiding this because as usual it will probably be everyone against me, but here we go.What are your views on abortion?
 
I'm for a womens right to choose, it's her body and I don't think the goverment has any right telling a women what she can and can't do with something thats inside of her. I think abortion is sick and should be avoided but it happens regardless.
 
It is a good thing to talk abotu as it has equal sides good but equal sides bad, i.e a good reason could be that the baby could be born deformed, but then again it ias taking the life of another human being and terminating it without it getting a say, I would say its okay to have an abortion if the baby is going to be born with deformities and serious health problem, but if its a healthy baby i think its wrong.My brother and his girlfriend are having a baby, I hope they have a healthy baby so i can be the godfather and warp its mind into being a lakers and basketball fan lol
 
Oh, ok, so it's okay to kill retarded babies without giving them a say but it's wrong to kill normal babies, gotcha.
 
No I ment a baby that was going to live his life suffering, constantly Id on't think I stated that clearly
 
i think it's up to the woman to decide if they want an abortion, sometimes women are raped and get pregnant. sometimes it would be better off for the woman not to have a baby because of the way they live or somethingnow of course if it was my girl that got pregnant i would be totally against it lol, but for the most part i think it's alright for the women to decide if they want to keep their child
 
What if the woman was raped? Shouldnt she be able to abort the pregnancy?

If she gets raped, why cant she put the baby up for adoption? there are so many women that cant have children for numberous reasons that would love a child even if its not thier own. I think no matter how the woman gets pregnant, it is murder. now i can see why you wouldnt want to have a child after being raped, but i'm mostly talking about the women who get pregnant and just dont want to go through 9 months of being pregnant and having a child. I think that is wrong. They know that no matter how many precuationaries they take bbefore having sex that there still is a chance of getting pregnant. Its just taking the easy way out. Put the child up for adoption where they can have a life with a family that wants them.
 
I personally dont really know where I stand on the issue, I was just trying to play devil's advocate..
 
I belive it's wrong and sickening, there's no reason why they can't give birth to the child and put them up for adoption. The emotional trauma that this causes many women and families is devastating also, I don't know why they put themselves through that. No it's right, it might change someone's mind here and that's a good thing. People need to realize what abortion is.ok I'll compromise and change it to a link with a warning.
 
Ok, as long as you put a warning on it, im okay with it. Man i just dont like it when ppl force stuff on people, like I've seen ppl driving these huge trucks with aborted babies on the side...im like wtf? not everyone needs to see that. About the topic:I don't agree with abortion personally, and I think under no cirumstances that somone should have an abortion - but tahts my choice, I wouldnt be for it. Since its only my opinion, I dont care what others do, they can do wht pleases them, even though I dont support it.
 
Well a lot of people don't seem to realize that it's murder until they see images like that, it's a shock factor tactic and it does work, that's why people use it.
 
So you think its ok for little kids to see that stuff? This thing that I saw was in broad day light. Theres this thing called the Woodward dream cruise in michigan - basically every year all the people in that area bring their really old classic cars and drive them on a long street called woodward. While we were driving we saw a HUGE truck with a bilboard with aborted babies - it was visibile to everyone - including little kids. What are you gonna say to your daughter, son, brother or w/e when they ask you wat is that? You're not gonna say a dead baby! Btw, there was also one with two gay guys making out....and the sign basically saying do you want to see this around you - of course not.They gotta realize that its not only adults that see this stuff, and not even adults want to see things like taht, it is disrespect in a sense.

than they shouldnt do it at all...and let people decide for themselves, peoples personal opinions wont hurt them in any way - whether I believe in abortion or not won't hurt you in any way.
 
I didn't say I agree with their approach, but I understand why they do it.What are you talking about, of course people's opinions on it matter. I suppose that they should probably concentrate their efforts on educating younger women rather than everyone, but it still matters what people think of it, as they might influence someone's decision on the matter.If you mean that it won't hurt them if someone has an abortion then that's obviously stupid, but I don't think that's what you meant.
 
I can see and agree with both sides of the arguements of being for or against it so im really on the fence, but some women are also not fit to have babies and could die having it, well that what my brothers girl told me....
 
adoption isn't always a good way to go, a lot of them kids get put in with f'ked up families, and sometimes become crazy ppl lol, so sometimes abortion is the best way to go, why put the child through all that??
 
That's a very small minority, and in that case they shouldn't be getting pregnant in the first place. I would think it would just lead to miscarriage so I'm not really sure what she's talking about.
 
Abortion is murder, that's it. Basically, saying one can abort is saying one can kill their offspring. So, if they decide to kill them weeks later maybe even days later it is murder and the person can be convicted, what's the difference? You're commiting a crime, like it or not. Nobody has the right to take away a person's life, nope, not even their mothers.
 
Adoption doesn't always work, but at least you're giving your child a chance.The bottom line is that with the exception of rape, there's no reason why you should have to put a child up for adoption or have an abortion. Just be responsible and you won't get pregnant.

Well that's not true, because the child who is being murdered has no say in the matter.

My on/off girlfriend who is also my best friend was born to a 16 yr old heroin addict, she was put up for adoption and not abortion obviously. I just think what would have happened if her mother had chosen to have an abortion, (which was a possibility) I wouldn't have ever been able to know such an awesome person. That pretty much decides it for me.
 
Anti-abortion people show you those images for a emotional reaction while you forget that it's as much a childs rights issue as a womens rights issue. The goverment has no right to tell my mother what she can and can't do with something inside of her, the goverment can't force her to have a baby and thats where the issue stands with me. It always disturbs me when pro-life people say it's okay to kill babies that were made by a rape, so it's okay if it's a rape? How do you prove 100% a women was raped? If I impregnated a girl would I support abortion? No way. FOR ME it's disgusting and unethical and would never support it if it were my choice. But I realize it's not my choice and not the goverment's choice. It's the choice of the mother. It's her health and her choice. And thats what I support, this debate isn't about showing disgusting pictures or 'it's murder period', it's not about your personal morals and ethics and it's not about forcing your morals on other people with different ones, it's about giving women a choice and giving the goverment the right to tell you what you can and can't do in yet another part of your life.
 
They have ways of telling if a woman has been raped (vaginal tearing, bruises and other marks on body, etc). It's not always 100% true, but you get a good idea if someone has been raped.It's not the government's right to tell women what to do with their bodies? If it's harming someone else, then yes they do. You can't do drugs because it harms you and harms other people around you. You can't drink and drive because it harms the other people around you. You can't have an abortion because it harms the baby inside of you. Unless you got pregnant without consent, the baby should be delivered and set up for adoption.
