...secretly you're terrified that Oden is going to blow out his knee at this USA Team minicamp. I know I am. Sick, isn't it?

Wow - I'm not the only one. Wouldn't that just be the exclamation point on this summer?

Actually no. Back when Greg initially got injured I went into the mode of "If we get something out of him, that's great, but I count on nothing." As a Blazer fan, you just get used to getting punked with something going wrong all the time. Once you get used to it, speculation about players becoming good goes out the window, and if something good happens, it is all a bonus. JailBlazers. Drafting Martell instead of Chris Paul. It doesn't matter. It's just part of the cloud that continually hangs over the team. So when something good happens, that is what is unexpected.

Has Oden had previous knee issues?

I was but I would never post about it. Everybody should go back to thinking about this SECRETLY.

Close this!!!!

"Been down so long it looks like up to me", huh hasoos? That's the spirit!

Call me a cocky SOB but I'm not worried at all.. I think this will be great for him!

Good job Rasta, you probably jinxed it. I was over his injuries, and didn't even think about it either.

me too :) hoops is a rough sport and injuries happen to almost every player. I'd struggle to come up with several players in the history of the league who didn't miss significant time to injury over a long career.

Mostly I'm just stoked he's good to go right now and that he's not suffered any injury that should impede him long term. btw, you're a cocky SOB

STOMP

I knocked on wood after every tweet this afternoon.

I'll be terrified if he doesn't ... but because I'll just assume he's saving it up for the regular season.

+1

The curse of the Blazer centers. Walton, Bowie, Steve Johnson, Sabonis. Even Duck only had 4 really good seasons.

Oden has gotten past his injury problems and is indestructible now. I encourage the gods to prove me wrong, if they can.

*waits*

...Yeah, didn't think so.

You know, I was totally scared that he would have a knee issue the second we drafted him. I don't know why, but I just had a gut feeling. We all know what happened. Sorry if I jinxed him, everyone. However, I also had the same fear going into this experience. He'll be fine, though.

Think positive!

I actually am very confident that he will be fine this year. Never at all thought he would be injured in this camp.

Well, fellas, you just ruined my night. I actually hadn't considered it, myself. Wow, now I gotta carry this Gorilla on my back until this camp is over.

Mods, please post the personal info of the guy who started this thread. I say, if he causes this to happen we should pay him a visit and rip his knees (and any other salvageable body parts) to donate to Greg. He will be successful even if he has to be FrankenOden and we have to sew various people's body parts together and put him out there.)

He looks good in the you tube video, but damn man, put your fucking knee pads on!
